Rating: Summary: Thank you Gary and Maury Youmans! Review: Having met quite a few of the 1963 Chicago Bears, at one time or another, I have always been impressed by their friendliness and modesty. This book brings out those qualities. The authors let the Bears tell their stories in their own words. And what great stories they are! Unlike most modern sports books, you will find no egotistical attitudes here. Each player's or coach's narrative is always related to the team or one of their teammates. This book is also a great reflection on pro football in the sixties and the very difficult times surrounding President Kennedy's assassination. I thank those
great players and coaches for bringing some light in our lives during those dark days and I thank Gary and Maury Youmans for letting them tell their stories in this exceptional book.
