Summary: And why shouldn't he boast his accomplishments?
Review: After reading some of the reviews of this book, I was insulted. I have participated in a 3Day lead by Pallotta Teamworks. There are no words to describe it but awesome. I was inspired by the event to read this book. Yes, Dan describes the successes that he has made. And why shouldn't he??? He has helped move millions into doing something awesome. On behalf of his motivation, millions of medically underserved people have recieved screenings and medical care. MILLIONS!!

So, to those readers who where put off by this book because they feel that Dan writes about his accomplishments or egotism, I have to ask you to understand what this man has done to improve the world we live in. He is the type of human that I strive to be. I enjoy reading about what he has done and will reread this book many times through my lifetime.

Thank you, Dan, for making this world kinder!

Summary: Why didn't they teach me this in school?
Review: Dan Pallotta shares essential truths about the way in which dreams come true. Unlike so many self-help, prescriptive books that promise success in seven easy steps, this book empowers and inspires in such a way that it became obvious that we simply must make room for and allow success to come to us. One of the biggest gifts of this book is Pallotta's message of practicing kindness...to ourselves and to our fellow human beings. Many of his stories brought tears to my eyes. Much of what he shares here I only wish I had been taught in school. I would have saved thousands of dollars and hours in therapy!

Summary: great read
Review: Having taken part in several AIDS Walks over the past few years, I can attest to the power of Dan's words. This book tranformed my outlook and led to my rethinking my priorities and sense of purpose. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to make a difference.

Summary: One man's fantasy
Review: I just scanned the reviews on Dan's book and I gotta tell you the low reviews are really harsh. Here's what I can tell you from the heart. My wife Michelle and I did the 575 mile week long AIDS Vaccine Montanna Vaccine Ride in 2001. It was an experience that changed our lives. We raised thousands for a critical cause, we grew as a couple, we got in shape, we said "yes" on days our bodies wanted to stop and our minds wanted to say "no",and we made many new special friends. I can't recommend a Pallotta Team Works event enough. They really took care of us. And again it was an experience of a life time.

Now for the book. At the event I met Dan and he signed the book during a book signing. I don't know Dan so this is not a friend endorsing a friend. I bought his book because the AIDS Vaccine Ride experience was so life changing I was curious to find out how the founder had created such a meaningful company that is impacting and helping so many people.

I read the book cover to cover on the flight home from the AIDS Ride. Granted I was motivated to read the book having just completed the ride but it really was a great book. I almost never read a book cover to cover. This one I couldn't put down.

It's a book that makes you stop and think. Are you going for your dreams? What are your dreams? What would it take to make the impossible, possible? I'm a huge believer that one idea can you change your life. The question is where does that one idea come from. My belief is that often a book like this one can give you a moment of "clarity" where you have an "aha" moment and it hits you what it is you really want to do with your life.

This book is also about creating a different kinda world. During the initiation day before the AIDS Ride they showed a video with no "talking", only words on a screen. I'm paraphrasing here but the short film said things like this week...lets live in a world that is diffent from the world we live in. A world where if someone gets a flat on their bike you stop and help them fix it. A world where if someone looks tired you help them set up their tent, or you prepare their meal, or carry their bag to their tent. A world where if you get to camp early after riding 94 miles you stand outside by the finishing line and cheer other riders in. A world where everyone for one week helps each other. That kinda of a world.

The film brought tears to the hundreds that were in the room. And for a week we lived in that kind of world. It was a very special world. One that brings tears to my eyes as I write and think back on how special it was. It's a world that happened in New York following the terriorist strikes of 9/11/01. Unfortunately its not a world we live in consciously everyday. We should.

I've written two books so far in my life and I haven't done a review since I wrote them. Reviews are brutal on authors. I know because they have inspired me and hurt me.

To Dan I say "cheers".

Summary: A Very Human-centric view of Paradise!
Review: If you are on a path of discovery and need someone who has no idea who he is to mark the path, this is a perfect book for you!

I found the writing to be trite and uninspired. While the subject was worthy (ME ME ME, oh yeah and AIDS), the bourgeoisie experiences of someone uses it for self promotion is sickening.

Summary: A perfect moment for "When Your Moment Comes"!
Review: This book couldn't have come at a better time considering all that is going on in the world today. It seems that everyone is connected to the outer world more then ever before, yet it is also the perfect time for each of us to look inwards, realize the importance of seizing the moment and living true to ourselves. This book was the perfect guide that lead me through that process of discovering myself and it has been a wonderfully positive influence in my life. I highly recommend it and know that it will be an inspiration to many, just as it has been for me.

Summary: Dictionary definition of narcissist
Review: This book teaches that human beings are naturally dreamers and that the key to happiness is kindness, and living your calling. But what is your calling? Through exercises in self-reflection, Dan asks you to recall your child's imagination, an imagination without boundaries. Once you understand your life's calling or dream, go for it. Dan illustrates how dreamers (Olympic athletes, Walt Disney, Martin Luther King Jr.) inspire others but also attract cynics. The bigger your dream, the more cynics will try to discourage you and try to stop you... This book teaches you to understand your dreams, commit to them, and do them. It teaches you to make kindness part of your life. It teaches you to become a citizen of the world and take action for the global good. You have to be cynic to discourage such noble actions. This is a great book. If it doesn't inspire you, you need more love, kindness, and compassion in your life - you are the cynic.
