Summary: Better then a day at the spa
Review: I was shopping at Barnes and Nobles when this little book fell off the shelf. I picked it up and noticed the title was, The Initiation. At first, I thought, "this isn't my kind of book." Something nagged at me to take it home, and I'm glad I did.Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. The book awakened me spiritually and I feel as if I've been reborn. I feel better then I do after a full day at the spa! I'm serious! This book has remade me from the inside.

Summary: The Book of a Lifetime!
Review: The Initiation by Dr. Donald Schnell is a fascinating account of one man's encounter with the Immortal Babaji (of Sgt. Pepper and Autobiography of a Yogi fame). Unlike many books in this genre, this one had the distinct ring of authenticity. While reading the book I experienced an inner warmth in my heart and a joy that lasts. I've already read the book three times and given away copies to all of my friends. I am breathlessly awaiting another book from this skilled author. As an editor of a book publishing house I see tons of manuscripts each year. If you are looking for more than a book and desiring a personal experience of connectedness to the sacredness of life--do yourself a favor and read this book. Better yet share it with a friend. It is a powerful love story.

Summary: Better then Chocolate
Review: The Initiation overwhelmed me with it's simplicity and beautiful portrayal of spiritual truths. I read this book just to feel connected to God again. My husband recently left me for his younger secretary after 20 years of marriage. I was feeling very down, and even suicidal.
My girlfriend recommended this book. I thought, "right, what's a book going to do?" Was I ever wrong. This book was better then eating tons of chocolate, much better.
I'm actually dating again and have found a nice man who actually meditates. He's reading the Initiation too!
