Summary: A Companion to His Genius
Review: Tom Stoppard is by far the greatest dramatist of our time and his words flesh this out. His true genius is unknown to him and can only be discovered by seeing great productions of Arcadia, Hapgood, or Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead--but his words, in this matchlessly edited volume of interviews, reveal how these plays have come about. The book is funny, fascinating, and exhaustively researched. Delaney managed to unearth some interviews that otherwise would have been as lost to history as Thomasina's waltz.
