Summary: TOUCHING STARS...
Review: If I had to run for my life and grab what I could, THIS book would be at least one thing I would hold onto for dear life, that is how much "The Ziegfeld Touch" means to me. Words cannot
even begin to convey how grateful I am for this book, as should
all theatre performers or theatre historians. The Ziegfelds have done an awesome job of bringing Florenz Ziegfeld to life,
as well as those surrounding his life, such as Fanny Brice, W. C. Fields, Eddie Cantor, Bert Williams, and Will Rogers. When the crash of 1929 literally wiped Ziegfeld out financially and
physically, these devoted performers by then, had each made it big, yet remembered the one, The Great One, who launched their careers. In addition, the Ziegfelds have brought to life again, the very vivid era of that time, capturing all the wonderful charm of the stage. THIS is a book to be cherished. And how I cherish mine! Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Ziegfeld!
