Summary: An inspiring story would make a great movie.
Review: Well, the writer really wrote about McGuire's life... in the first one hundred pages, we are overwhelmed by "glorious" tales of McGuire fishing with his friends, McGuire dating girls, McGuire having lunch and dinner, McGuire buying new clothes, McGuire playing clarinet at his school band, McGuire sleeping, McGuire buying a ring for his fiancée....Uau, utter boring!! Action only begins around page 170...But I must say that the tittle book let it be clar: THE LIFE OF MAJOR THOMAS B. McGUIRE. It's not " THE WAR HISTORY OF MAJOR THOMAS B. MCGUIRE". So, now you know what you're into for...

Summary: Wonderful book
Review: When I bought this book I had some serious doubts as there has been little written about Tommy McGuire and it would seem that there was even less known about him outside of his persona.This book does and absolutely wonderful job of introducing you to the boy, the young adult and finally the all-to-young pilot that accomplished so much. There is not much to say beyond, buy this book, you won't be disappointed.
