Summary: A Blessing and Inspirational!
Review: I just wanted to say thank you to Stanice Anderson for such an awesome book. I purchased the book because the title "I Say A Prayer for Me" caught my attention. Her frankness and honesty of where she came from, what she been through and how she survived by God's mercy and grace was inspiring. I took my time reading this book to absorb the full impact of how God worked through her life. I appreciated the prayers and scriptures at the end of each chapter, it helped to undersatnd and know that God is just a prayer away. Thank you again for writing a great book. I have told several friends about this book for them to also read.

Summary: I say a Prayer for Me
Review: I started reading this book and I wondered if the author knew me personally. This is a book that told my life story and I felt so connected to the author because I knew that I was not alone in this world, that there was another person who had gone through the same things in life as I had. Ms. Anderson is a fantastic author, sharing all the struggles that she went through when she was in active use of alcohol and drugs. Being a recovering alcoholic and addict myself, it was awesome reading about another afro-american female who has suffered in that vicious world of addiction. I want to thank Ms. Anderson for sharing all the pain she has felt in the past and the joy that she has today. I also want to thank my Higher Power for giving her the ability, courage and the strength to share her life with me. I Say a Prayer for Me is a book that gives hope and encouragement to someone that is struggling with trying to change his or her life. I Say a Prayer for Me is a book that gives you hope and faith and let's you know that by having faith and trust in your Higher Power (for me is my God, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ) all things are possible through prayer and faith. This book should be read by all, not those of us who have struggled with addictions, but anyone who struggles with everyday pressures for living life today in this troubled world. Ms. Anderson, keep writing and thank God for you.

Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Her life is an inspiration. She taught me to consider God in all things no matter how small I may think it is. Her story of her California trip was great and really taught me to witness to anyone and everyone. This was my selection for my bookclub and I was the toast of the day. We all enjoyed this one.

If you did it, so did she, if you felt it, so did she, if you thought it--so did she. Review: Stanice Anderson's words of testimony proves that God is waiting for us to call out to Him. Her powerful story of her life experiences combined with her willingness to share how God provided for her shows us how we can come to know Him. If you are looking for a book that shows how God can lift your burden of sin and addiction from you and restore your soul to the one who cares for you-this is it! Stanice knew that God was the only one that could help her. She tells how she relied on Him for her every need and waited for Him to lead her back to His Kingdom. If you need assurance and prayer, you will find the love & assurance that you need in this book. It is easy to understand and the life experiences are real..Thank you Stanice, for following God's direction in writing this book. God knows that it's possible to overcome addiction even when NO ONE else thinks you can be saved! God knows we all can be saved through Him!

Review: There are self-help books and there are books that actually help you help yourself. I Say A Prayer for Me is a powerful, engaging, life-changing book that will immediately captivate you. Anderson tells it like it is and openly shares her struggles, her pain, her shame and her ultimate victory won when she accepted Jesus Christ into her heart and life. Maybe you too have felt like given up. Maybe you too have made choices that could have kept you in bondage forever. Maybe you are trying to break free from a sin or sins that you want to be delivered from. No matter where you are in life or if you have already reached the other side, this book will give you hope, understanding, move you to be more compassionate, loving and forgiving not only of others, but of yourself. Equally important, I Say A Prayer for Me will remind you of the power of prayer-- that prayer changes things and that Jesus is just a prayer away. God loves you so very much and Anderson reminds you of it through every word in this book and her personal heartfelt prayers. I highly recommend it. Summary: Blessed beyond words
Review: This book was recommended by my girlfriend and it is one of the BEST books I have ever read. Even if you cannot relate to her struggle with drugs you can certainly relate to her growing relationship with God. At the end of every chapter she gives you these wonderful prayers and about half way through I started personalizing them to me instead of us and we. I gave this book to a sister in my church who is experiencing some of the exact same challenges Stancie faced. Thank you Stancie and God Bless. You go girl!!! Keep writing

Summary: I Say a Prayer for Me by Stanice Anderson
Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read because it is one of the most insightful readings of God's love for us that anyone could ever read. In writing to a friend, I actually quoted from this book. The format makes for extremely easy reading in that the chapters are short and they are all followed by brief captions or "gems of wisdom" the author wants to impart about that chapter. Then the caption is followed by a moving and heartfelt prayer relating to the subject matter of the chapter, ending in an appropriate scripture. I plan to use this book for reference material for any situation in my life. And since I will not be parting from my copy of the book, I have ordered five other copies to date for close friends and relatives whom I feel will greatly benefit from it. As I overheard one person say about this book, "It is a life-changing book". And it is! Thank you Stanice Anderson.
