Review: Pretty good book. Similiar to the "Chili Peppers" and "Perry Farrell" books that came out around the same time, but better. Basically just a history lesson of the band. Great for anyone who wants to get a better idea of what happened when and with who. A number of good pictures too. Also you get a taste of the scene at the time, other bands and how they relate to it all. Goes from the start of the group up through the Superunknown days I believe. If you have all the cd's, 3 shirts, a hat, framed posters, and a Soundgarden sticker on your car, get this.

Review: This book is really good because it gives alot of detailed information about the band and the people around the band. If you are a fan, you should definetely read this book.

Summary: Great band, bad author
Review: You have to give writer Chris Nickson credit for trying -- he's written a few tell-alls, "unathorized" biographies and even tried his hand at music criticism. Unfortunately for both his subjects and readers, his writing style tends towards the dull and trite, betrays no sense of taste or history and provides very little insight into his subjects. For the completist only.
