Rating: Summary: *MARLON MANIA* Review: This book was a good read. Marlon Brando shares a lot of things w/ his readers...BUT he doesn't share many things - like his troubles w/ his wives and children, never mentioning anything except an occasional reference toward "making ailomony payments". BUT what he does share are some of his sexual experiences during his life (he's had over 100's of women), beautiful and the painful memories of his childhood, relationships w/ his alcoholic parents, his experiences w/ his therapists, his part in the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT, and helping the Native Americans, why he hated being an "actor" (he talks about when he refused the Godfather Oscar also), his experiences w/ stalkers, his views of Elvis, what he really thought of his "follower" James Dean, and his affair w/ Marilyn Monroe. (also adding his thoughts on how she died) He makes many interesting statements about what he believes in, but there is a lot of stuff that you would like him to go into more. He also subsitutes some of the women he was involved w/ and gives them a fake name or sometimes no name at all because he wants to respect there privacy...One thing that is SUPER about this book is there is pages and pages of black and white never before seen pictures (most from his personal collection) of Marlon from his younger years, all the way up to his days as a older man, all throughout the book. I do recommend reading this one, BUT don't let this be the only Brando book you read...he is one of the most interesting legends to read about and the best Brando book AND BEST BIOGROPHY of anyone I have read to date is: Brando: The Biography by PETER MANSO.
