Rating: Summary: Painstakingly slow Review: This book is a slow as the adoption process. Not a particularly good book to read if you are more interested in the adaption after adoption, since it stops at adoption.
Rating: Summary: A real gem Review: This book is about a very unusual subject; a single male adopting a child from a foreign country. The subject alone would be excuse enough to read the book, but being written with such enthusiasm it is even more enjoyable. I am planning to re-read it soon. Fulfilling these two requirements this book is a true gem to be recommended to anyone.
Rating: Summary: It made me laugh, it made me cry... Review: This is a wonderful book that is beautifully written. With each page I felt as if I was apart of Bob's search for his son and ached for him each time he was disappointed. It is unusual to see such a tender side in a man, but by reading this book, you can tell that Bob has a big heart and that he fell in love with his son at first glance. His story is a great resource for anyone who is thinking of adoption--where to go, where not to go, and what to do--that throws in the emotional side of adopting a child. You will not be able to put this book down and like me, you will always remember aloysha. Bob, thank you for writing this book!
