Review: what I like about is Lalu, after enduring so much hardship, never lost her hope & was never bitter.

i only wish the author had given references or something equivalent. cause i would really like to know how much is true & how much are her own creation. after all, this is a "biographical novel" e.g., no one could have known Lalu's early like before she came to USA. & i would very much hope that Lalu in real life really was such a brave woman.

i also like the movie of the same name based on this novel.
