Summary: Hardcore
Review: CDR Marcinko bears all in his first book of a widely successful series. As the first Commanding Officer of the highly secretive Seal Team 6, his adventures took him across the globe. The reader is included in the story in the clever style of writing that Marcinko delivers. He "talks" to you, as though he were standing right beside you. But Marcinko is not Rambo. He is not invincible, nor does he think he is. His adventures leave him (and his team) battered and bruised. In an embarrasingly blatant story about himself, he leaves out the hype and glory, and instead finds himself slammed, smacked, dropped, whacked, dinged, scraped, and coming back for more. He tells how his missions consistently go FUBAR, and how the everpresent Command Master Chief Murphy (of Murphy's Law fame) is along for the ride to ensure all his plans are ruined. His "shocking" language is just what you'd expect from a mustang sailor. This book is not a Hollywood creation... it's not even a movie (yet). If you want to hear it from someone who was there, this is it. This book is a ride.

Summary: Unbelievable, but true Autobiography
Review: I have actually read all of Capt. Marcinko's books to date; however, this book is the best by far because its his true-life adventures in the World Of SPEC War. Growing up not too far from where Capt. Marcinko was born, I became fascinated with his story. To read of his adventures and his antics and to see what was done to him in return is unbelievable. What makes it scary is that it is true. I'm not going to go into the scemantics of the writing style or break down the entire book for you, but what I am going to do is tell you the truth... Yes, this book may be hard for some of you to read. Yes, he may be an egocentric adrenaline junky, but first and foremost, he is a soldier, who has served his country and fought for the freedom we all take for granted. In the times in which we live, we need a true hero like Dick Marcinko to make us proud to be Americans, because we have so few hero's to look up to now. If you don't like his abrasive philosophising and his "take the world by the balls" attitude then all I have to say is "Doom on You". Dick Macinko is a true hero and a present day warrior and its men like him who have served our country in times of need, and who have fought and given up their lives for our country, that makes me proud to be an American.

Summary: An autobiography from a real American character
Review: This is a great read. Marcinko's style is both literate and rambunctious, and his personality comes through strong; it's almost like he's there telling you these stories in person.

You also learn a lot about SpecWar, as Marcinko addresses some of the standard misconceptions about Navy SEALs and describes the reasoning behind the strategies his men use.

"Rogue Warrior" offers a fresh if somewhat romanticized view of this important facet of modern warfare, and I this book is a must for anyone with an interest in the subject.

Summary: American Classic!
Review: I read this book three years ago, not having a clue about SEALs or people like Dick Marcinko. I thought they were Warriors and Warriors they are. I have more repect for them then ever. I learned more from this book than any book I have ever read. I have learned to pay more attention and look at every detail. I think anyone looking for a Outstanding book, should try this one. But be advised it's not for the weak minded people, who don't like violence, blood, swearing, beer, and war! In short the best book I have ever sat down to read! Grade:A+

Summary: Surprisingly Amazing!
Review: Ever wonder what's really going on with those crazy navy seals? Well, why not read a book by the baddest one of them all...Richard Marcinko. This book is filled with amazing stories behind enemy lines. I was completely surprised how good this book really is.

Summary: Awesome Specwar ops! A must read
Review: Dick's real life stories are amazing, truly amazing. Reading this book will make the reader want to go to the store or library and get another of his books. They insert you deep inside the world of SpecWar and give you a good understanding of what it's all about! Remember there are no rules in war, thou shalt win at all costs!

Summary: A Must-Read book if you like Special Forces
Review: This guy (Marchinko) is THE MAN. He goes all out balls-to-the-wall and the great thing about it is that he's telling it from the real prespective. For me, this book is the closest I've gotten into the head a Special Forces soldier who basically is an icon. "Rogue Warrior" is a book that will capture your senses and hold them until you're done with the book. The Marchinko ends leaves you wanting to grab another book in his series and start reading it right away.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An Incredibly truthful novel, Being A SEAL I recommend it.
Review: This book caught my attention because of the fact that Richard Marcinko is the former Commanding Officer of the SEAL Team I am a Part of. SEAL team two. The emotions portrayed in this autobiography are as real as they seem. The Teams are a bretheren and I think that essence has been captured in this book. Long live the SEALs and Demo Dick. *****
