Summary: Parish Does It Again
Review: Jim Parish is one of the most prolific writers about Hollywood on the scene. There's a reason for that: he has a wealth of information. He leaves no stone unturned in his search to bring his readers absolutely the most honest version of Hollywood's most infamous events...events which shaped our culture. In this book, Parish has done it again, bringing new information where you would have thought the well was dry years ago. The guy is incredible.

Summary: Sensational -Guilty Pleasure wihout the Guilt!
Review: This is a great read and an indispensible reference book as well.
What is interesting is that we all love reading aobut scandals, but usually the books written are more like Kenneth Anger's that, although very readable, make you feel that most of it is probably heresay and fiction.
But, it is a great pleasure and relief to read a page-turning book dedicated to scandals, that is actually impeccably researched.
Not only is the book scintillating, but it is "the last word" on many of these tales.

By the time someone else gets around to doing a similar book it will be too late to get it from the horse's mouth. Another great Parish tome!

Summary: A PLEASURE TO READ!
Review: This is a must-read for anyone interested in celebrity culture and Hollywood history. Firstly, James Robert Parish's book is an essential entertainment reference source. His research is of the highest standard, thorough and precise. For those who rely on obtaining accurate information in our work, it is a relief to find someone whose writing you can trust and depend on. At the same time, the book is a fascinating and addictive read, even for those readers who will already have some knowledge of these scandals. The media is saturated with news of celebrity lives but what makes Parish's book stand out is the refreshing historical perspective. He avoids the exaggeration and silliness so prevalent in today's gossip. In other words, far more entertaining than anything on television!

Summary: A Real Page-Turner
Review: This well-researched book of Hollywood scandals is a real page-turner. Entertaining, wittily-written, and informative, it provides all of the juicy details of scandals covering the whole history of Hollywood, from the silent days to the present. Touches on many well-known scandals, but the reader will also be surprised by some previously unknown (at least to me) stories of Hollywood misbehavior. The book deals not just with scandal, but also with numerous tragedies (Judy Garland, for example). Some of the stories are funny, others sad -- and I found myself at the end of the book wishing for more. This is a terrific Hollywood book!

Summary: NOT JUST ANOTHER HOLLYWOOD SCANDAL BOOK
Review: You ask yourself Do we really need another book on the scandalous and disgraceful and heartbreaking affairs of Hollywood stars-haven't the tabloids and the tabloid TV shows milked these stories for all they're worth? But you read on and it quickly becomes clear that this one isn't the same: the author isn't interested in titillating you or shocking or disgusting you-he's just recounting the stories in an almost "just the facts, ma'am" style which makes these stories that much more human, that much more sensational.
