Rating: Summary: Not too "Art"-tistic. Review: Somewhat rambling life story of the talk show host Art Bell. If you wade through the rhetoric you'll find interesting glimpses of Mr. Bell's history.
Rating: Summary: A fantastic in-look at the Kingdom of Nye Review: The "Art of Talk" gives you the insight to how Art Bell crafts his overnight show. Highly recommended for fans or others who have yet to discover the overnight talkshow king.Chris Carmichael, Carlsbad, Calif.ccarmichael@usa.ne
Rating: Summary: Too bad trees were killed to print this crap Review: The only thing bigger than the Universe must surely be Bell'sego. The ravings of this wacko cult-promoter are of interest only tothe seriously reality-impaired.
Rating: Summary: Ravings of an egotistical maniac. Review: This book is the second edition of Bell's first attempt at writing. One gets the impression from this book that Bell is nothing more than an egotistical and deluded wacko willing to use any means to line his pockets.
Rating: Summary: AN Awesome Book!!! Review: This book shows a lot about the greatest radio guy this country has ever seen.... if you like Art Bell, YOU MUST have this book!
Rating: Summary: A wonderful and insightful biography of a fascinating man Review: This is a wonderful and insightful biography of a man who has millions of listeners to his great late night radio talk shows. Fans of "Dreamland" and "Coast to Coast AM" should not miss this interesting book
Rating: Summary: Interesting Reading!!!! Review: This is Art Bell's first book, and it is his autobiography. Art is the former host of the worldwide radio programs Coast to Coast AM and Dreamland. If I weren't in the radio broadcasting business myself, I would probably say that this is a fascinating story. But, it turned out to be quite what I expected from a fellow broadcaster. Nonetheless, it is interesting to get to know the man behind the voice that I was so accustomed to hearing night after night. Besides his childhood, education, domestic life, and career, Art discusses how he used to get callers and guests to talk on the air, and even relates his feelings toward what he heard and was broadcasting. This is good reading for Art Bell fans or for those interested in the radio broadcasting business.
