Summary: A little pride and joy for us all!
Review: This was a better than average biography. The book was written very well with a nice even flow to the story. It depicted the life of Stevie the child(lonely, insecure, shy and wasted), straight through to Stevie the man(loving, outgoing, helpful and sober). All too often people pass away at a time in there lives when all the demons within them have been put to rest. SRV's style of the blues and his spirit will live on with us for a very long time. I don't usually give too many 5 stars. This one deserves it.

Summary: SRV lives
Review: While sitting in a restaurant in LA with some friends, the topic about what show we would love to see most arose. I mentioned SRV and a friend quickly agreed. When I found out he was a lover of Stevie I highly recommended this book. Not because it is well written but because it fills in many gaps in his life and gives great insight to his earlier albums. While reading this I always had the relevant album playing so that I could appreciate better what was being written about.
