Rating: Summary: I Want to Tell You... Review: ...to check out this book! Although there are some inaccuracies in this work, it is still a treat to read. This is a MUST have for Harrison fans and Beatle fans alike. This book gives a good coverage of the life of the youngest Beatle; the people and events that influenced his career and his own deeply profound words. This is a welcome addition from the inveterate Harrison fan to people who are just becoming familiar with the works and life of this outstanding artist. George Harrison was a man who did, indeed, with his words AND his music influence countless people.I love the book and can't recommend it highly enough.

Rating: Summary: Mistakes litter the book Review: Bill Harry has made a tidy living producing Beatles books at the rate of two or three per year. This has been going on since the 1970's and this limping dog of an entry belongs at the bottom of the Bill Harry barrel. There are so many fundamental, basic mistakes within the text that is becomes almost laughable. Since Harry is a self-styled Beatles expert, one wonders eternally how he manages to goof up, time and time again. George's first trip to America was alone without the other boys, in the fall of '63 (he visited his sister, Louise). George did not take acid on his own before he and John took it accidentally while visiting a dentist in 1965. Eric Clapton did not seduce George's wife when he was still a Beatle... these are but a few of the weird, unnecessary mistakes which intrude upon the book. The photos are all common, frequently seen and dull. Nothing new in the book, I'd recommend skipping it, unless you're a die-hard George fanatic (like me), and are forced by obsession to own everything on the Fabs. Otherwise, avoid this one.
Rating: Summary: I want to tell you Review: I bought this book based on the far superior Beatles Encyclopedia written by Bill Harry. This was a big disappointment. The book is riddled with inconsistencies and inaccurate information. For example, there are three differnt stories on how the Traveling Wilbury's were formed, depending on if one reads the Roy Orbison entry, the Tom Petty entry or the Traveling Wilbury entry. Unlike the Beatles Encyclopedia, there are no pictures, which would have greatly enhanced this book. I am giving it three stars as there was some new (to me anyway) information, but the editting and fact checking were very sloppy.
