Rating: Summary: As expected, this book is awesome. Review: I loved this book from beginning to end. I thought I knew everything there was to know about the Crue and how "bad" they were, was I wrong! They were sooo much badder! This book is a must read for any Motley Crue fan, or any rock and roll fan in general.
Rating: Summary: Dirt Never Tasted So Good! Review: What a yummy book! I couldn't put it down until I had read every last word. Drugs, sex, partying, and music...even if someone didn't care for Motley Crue much, everyone likes one of the aforementioned, right? Buy it and eat it up!
Rating: Summary: Documentation of Decadance Review: This book is not a great literary work, but it is an amazing documentation of the career of Motley Crue. I've been a fan of these guys since the mid-80s when I was 16, and have always been fascinated by them. The fact that these four guys somehow found each other, and were lucky enough to become the biggest metal band in the world despite all their self-destructive behavior is truly amazing. I've always viewed Vince, Nikki, Tommy and Mick as four cartoon characters who somehow survive their misadventures with no consequences. However, the book reveals the human side of their decadance....drug addiction, lost fortunes, divorces, death. It's an interesting study of how four men from broken homes who have no education, no self-control and tons of money decide to live their lives. My only minor criticism of the book is that it could have focused just a little more on the Crue's music and videos. They actually have turned out to be an influential band for their music, look and videos, and that fact seems to always be overshadowed by their rock star lifestyle.
Rating: Summary: Motley Crue Fan or No, Read this book Review: First I have to say, I am not an avid Motley Crue fan but the appeal of what these guys had to say was worth the purchase. I thought buying the book would have stories of groupie sex and mass drinking and there is plenty of that mentioned in the book. However, reading the book I felt as if they were opening up to me in this book and that I actually got to know them personally. The premiss is all band members give there views and thoughts from the beginning of Motley Crue even pre Motley days and that goes to the very end which is present. By the end of the book you really get a feel of how each of their personalitie's are. I have great admiration for Nikki Sixx after the book. Like I said, I never was familiar with the band but I have to say Nikki Sixx is a talented person who in the end just wanted to have something to call his own including a family. The book is an upclose story that is told about there lives on the stage and outside the stage as well as dealing with success. Get the book and in the end of the book you'll appreciate what matters most in the world not money, fame, or success but the people closest to you. Enjoy

Rating: Summary: jump into the dirt Review: The Dirt is an awesome tale of sex drugs and rock and roll dude. If you thought they told it all on vh1's behind the music. You are wrong. Nikki Tommy Vince Mick and even John leave nothing to the imagination. They tell you everything about their rock and roll lifestyle and make no apologies. (well okay maybe a few apologies)But in this era of sugary sweet pop bands it's refreshing to see a true rock band tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It's a great summer read. Hurry up buy this book i promise you won't be sorry
