It has moved me to tears in many places and has made me ashamed for complaining about the small trials I've had to go through in my own life. I have also been so very encouraged by how God provided for Bro. Yun and did miraculous things in his life when he was wholly submitted to God's will. This is a book that every Christian needs to read!

Whenever i read books,i like to make extensive notes and draw out all the insight i can.I found this book to be absolutely packed with lessons for the Christian walk.
(In chapter 25 i was especially delighted to find this man of God speaking so forcefully about the western church - he said what we need to hear.Chapter 26 on a Christian's walk of persecution was tremendous.)

Place this book on your shelf alongside Corrie ten Boom's 'The Hiding Place' - i feel they go hand in hand as two of the most beautiful,powerful and life-changing biographys available.

I guarantee that after reading this book you will never be the same! Brother Yun's story is a hard story that includes imprisonment and tortures for the cause of JesusChrist. It shows us real life events that reflect the simple hearts that the primitive church had. If you love Jesus this will certainly challenge you to lay your life for His cause. You will find the wisdom that Brother Yun has acquired through much pain and trials; pure wisdom born from revelation from the Spirit in the midst of extreme trials unimaginable on the American contient.
I highly recommed this book, but I warn you, the Spirit WILL speak to you, and it WILL change your life
