Summary: All you need to read is this book
Review: All I Need... is the perfect book for any Troma fan, and if you're not a Troma fan read this book and chances are you probably will be. Lloyd Kaufman fills the pages with his wit and sarcastic humor, while giving young filmmakers a crash course in B-movie budgeting, special effects, etc. I found this book enlightening and hilarous at the same time.

Summary: Indie Film-maker's Bible
Review: Lloyd Kaufman is to the aspiring film maker,a god of direct to video cinema. Having been part of the legendary movie studio Troma, that has given us such unforgettable fare as Toxic Avenger and the Class of Nuke 'Em High, and their respective sequels. But to simply mention those titles among the plethora of others, would make it seem that Troma is a small company, which while the budgets may be small, the company itself is much much larger. For someone such as myself wishing to learn about independent film making, to get this first hand view of what Lloyd Kaufman went through is invaluable. I myself have fashioned my beginning career as a screenwriter by trying as best I can to model myself after the man. But here it is, an entire book that lays it out to you. A no holds barred, full account of how he made it in Troma. And best of all, Lloyd has gone about presenting this subject matter in a matter unlike other books on film making. In other words, this is not a bland and generic book, without strong author's voice, not another boring manual like book, this is a book that tells it like it is. For anyone that wishes to work in the movie industry I cannot recommend this book enough to you. And for anyone that wishes to just have a good read, this is the book for you too.

Summary: Mike Hell loves this book!!!
Review: This book is amazing! It's one of the funniest things I've ever read and it's actually informative too! Lloyd Kaufman is so sarcastic about EVERYTHINg, you can't help but laugh out loud constantly while reading. I highly, HIGHLY recommend buying this.

Summary: Talent here is James Gunn
Review: I loved Tromeo and Juliet, and this book was just as imaginatively perverse and depraved. James Gunn's brilliant pen is the common denominator. I would recommend this to anyone who is compelled to plumb the depths of the viscera and the intelligent imagination (hallmarks of Gunn). I look forward to finding more of his stuff here and on the screen.

Summary: A book you can in no way put down
Review: Wow! This is by far the best book I have ever read. In this book, Lloyd goes through many of the movies Troma has been associated with and tells you how he did a certain scene or a certain special effect. Great for a starting film maker, a Troma fan, a movie fan, or anyone who likes to read. Also, there is a description for every movie Troma ever made in the back of the book. A must!

Summary: amazing

Summary: The best guide to filmmaking (and the funniest!)!!
Review: Like anyone can tell you, showbusiness is a tough road! And there is no better man to hear it from the Lloyd Kaufman! His book is by far one of the funniest books and most informative about what it takes to "make it" in film! His stories are great! He really tells you about trying times of making a film and the struggles. I advise any young filmmaker to get this book and learn from a man who started his own studio in a broom closet 25 years ago! This book should go right next to John Waters' "Shock Value" as the bibles of underground film. You don't have to be a Troma fan to enjoy it but after reading it you will have to check out the movies! His stuff is different, but that's what's great about the book and Troma!
