Summary: Ouija board and a church in the basement, hmmm....
Review: I read the hard cover version of this book. I borrowed it from the library.

Dad abandons family to hook up with a girlfriend who has a church in her basement. Dad then goes to basement to pray.
Such a upstanding guy, abandons his family and prays - something doesn't jive here.

On page 32 there is reference to a church in the basement of dad's girlfriend's house. There is also mention that the boys played with the Ouija board while at this house.

hmmm.... so religious to have a church in the basement of your house yet there is a(n) Ouija board lying around upstairs for people to play with.

Makes you wonder what type of church is this... I see 'Red Flags,' do you ?

pg. 306- author doesn't believe that people invite spirits into their lives. I think we do play a part in inviting spirits (good or evil) into our lives.

I wonder if the Ouija board play mentioned on pg. 32 has any connection to inviting evil spirits into the lives of the Jones.

Something to think about. And do read up on the dangers of the Ouija board and occults.

Summary: I believe
Review: It's hard for me to believe these type of things without experiencing it first-hand (as it is for most people.) Denice Jones had me believing her story after the first chapter. It is excellently writen and will have you on the edge of your seat eager to find out what happens next!

Rating: 5 stars

Summary: How Could Anyone Believe this "stuff"?
Review: After having read a couple books by Ed and Lorraine Warren, I was searching for someone's story who wasn't lying and trying to make a buck (even one of the Warren's ghostwriters wrote an expose on how he lied his "butt" off while writing one of their books).

So I started this book initially thinking that however badly written, these people had a true story to tell about experiencing demons. WRONG.

After having to skip pages of boring details of how entities in Ms. Jones' home were throwing her mother-in-law around, torturing her kids and after the 1000th episode her and her husband were still hesitant to contact anyone for help, I managed to make it to the end of the book.

Here is where just mundane details became "Yeah, give me a break" type details. For instance. A large black car goes around mowing down several friends and family members and then at the end of the book, appears at her son's friend's grave and tries to mow the author and her son down. Then some sort of heavenly light explosion occurs and the car veering toward them at 1000 miles an hour explodes into the universe... O.k....

Also at the end of the book she holds a seance for her son. At the seance she sort of casually mentions she encounters the ghost of her grandfather AND her son's dead friend (another victim of the demon car) and she has an extremeley lengthy conversation with both of them. They tell her her son is like a conduit for Satan and God.got the impression that the whole fate of the universe rests on this battle within her son.I

One more thing. After having all these demon cars and angels and things flying around the house, beds floating around,on and on, there is like not one single piece of evidence in existance that shows any of this.

If you swallow all of this, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Lastly I would like to say I believe in the afterlife, but people like this make it really hard to keep the faith....

Summary: Hard to Believe
Review: When I started reading this book I was disappointed because I did not care for the writing style. It seemed very basic and amature. But I kept reading because I was curious and must admit that the story kept me interested. I tried to keep an open mind throughout and thought that maybe it could have been possible that these things really happened to this family. The part that blew it for me was towards the end when it just became too unbelievable. I wont say when as I dont want to give away the story for those who wish to read this. All in all I am disappointed because I find it so hard to believe.

Summary: I met Michael
Review: To know Michael is to love him. A Sweet but yet scared boy. Looking around a lot. I do not ask him what is around the corner nor will he say (unless I ask) he keeps it to himselk. But when really scared he will go to him mother who will help him and get out the Holy water. They seem very close and live normal at times.
Some of the stuff in the book was put in by the publishers they had no choice there were three things. But it did not need that and Mike said it made him mom mad about it and she is writing a second book and this time with attorney in tow only the truth with backup pictures and video will be on hand. I saw some and it is scary! I bet Holllywood would love this stuff. Its in their vault.
Mike is cool

Summary: This Book
Review: Being I have studied in this field for 22 years, I do not see these events feasible to actually had taken place. On a mortal episode, this would make ambrosial fiction.

Summary: Book
Review: As far as this book goes, this was one of the most believeable books on paranormal I have read. I have seen other people write on this book. And to each there own. As they seem to have no compasion nor know of the spirit word. I give it 5 stars!

Summary: A true disgrace
Review: I am a true believer in the supernatural and do not need a book for that need. The problem with this book is it states true story and there is not a possible way this is true. The author tests you by saying this and would make great fiction if that was stated, or was written like a book not a bunch of mumble.

Summary: More things in heaven and earth ...
Review: I will be the first to say I was disappointed with this book's ending -- it sounded too much like she was trying to start a new religion with her son as the messiah. And I will also agree that it is not the best written book on the planet... but I don't see how the latter point affects whether the major events of the book are true or not. I find it interesting that so many people review this book based on whether or not they personally believe that these things happened -- there is no way she or any other author can convince you about the supernatural if you are not inclined to believe it already. If you have an open mind, read the book and evaluate you it as you see fit -- if you totally don't believe in ghosts or demons, this book won't convince you. That isn't its purpose.
