Summary: Agatha Christie's Delightful with a capital D
Review: A definite good read. Thank goodness I managed to get my hands on it. One would think that an autobiography of the Queen of crime would be all about mysteries and writing, but this book is more than that. It's a celebration of life and living. A truly entertaining and engrossing book. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Summary: Nothing more enlightening but to read her very real life
Review: Agatha Christie has written many books that are highly entertaining and inspiring. Those who are her regular readers must have already noted the high quality of her books. But this time is different, as she is writing something about her own life. I feel exceptionally joyous when I find this book. I got a chance to really have an insight of the very life of my most favourite writer. I do not intend to give any commments on this book as the book speaks for itself. A really good book does not need anymore flowerish compliments. And here, it is such one book. The name of the writer itself is already a compliment.

Summary: Excellent Read
Review: Agatha Christie's, An Autobiography, is an excellent read. Unlike most books of this type, it is not chronological in the true sense of the word. It's almost as if Dame Agatha is talking to you personally about her life. She jumps from one topic to another much as one would in an ordinary conversation. Thoroughly entertaining!

Summary: Writer's life is no mystery
Review: Although I generally believe that the one story a writer shouldn't write is their own, Agatha Christie's autobiography is the happy exception to this rule.
The famous mystery writer takes much of the mystery out of how she became a writer telling a straightforward story of a fairy-tale childhood that abruptly changed into a grown-up existence of uncertainty, hard-work, determination, pluck and verve. She admits to less ambition than necessity dictated by money and marriage woes.
Christie is a talented and natural storyteller but she is far too polite to admit it outright. Instead, she brings the same hands-off style to her own story as she does to the main characters in her mystery books: that of being caught up in the circumstances of an event rather than being driven by them.
Her life story gently unfolds complimented by a dry and self-effacing wit. Christie blends in tidbits of her writing life, including her early efforts, story and character inspirations, why her books are so short, her writing style and routine and her dealings with editors and publishing houses, into the mostly personal narrative.
While it may be a mystery as to whether Christie created or responded to opportunities, there's no mystery that once those opportunities presented themselves Christie seized them and rode them spectacularly to her destiny.

Summary: My Favorite Book
Review: As an avid fan of Agatha Christie, I wanted to read her autobiography. I couldn't find it on Amazon.com or at the local public library. Finally, I found an old, tattered copy in one of the Rutgers University libraries.
This book can change your life! Not only does Christie recount her life in an interesting and exciting way, but she also comments on a wide variety of comments -- friendship, parties, poetry, marriage, etc. Many times, I find myself quoting the wisdom Christie has included within her book.
This is a wonderful book, and I highly recommend it. I could not put it down; it was very interesting, especially because of the aforemention edinclusion of her comments on every imaginable topic.

Unfortunatelly, I have no oportunity to read or have "Autobiography" in English but I read it translated, and in my opinion it is one of her best books. You can go trough her life from the childhood till the old age.She presented herself both as a very fragile and strong woman. She is Victorian and modern person at the same time. I recommend it with all my heart.

Summary: An unique writer who didn't feel her uniqueness
Review: I can see very interesting prospective towards this world, and how she enjoyed her life with her surroundings.Besides being a successful author, Christy also presents the very fond attitude and life style which could really teach me a lot. Her sentimental writings also move me so much.

Review: I can`t say nothing more than this word, this book is really amazing. Her life is unbelievable, passionate, beautiful, she was so intelligent, so normal that you can`t belive it. When you read it, you feel that she is talking to you. You feel her emotion or crying. SHE WAS AMAZING, WONDERFUL.

Review: I had already read many Christie mysteries before I picked this autobiography up out of curiosity.I was surprised to find that this was as captivating as any of her whodunits.A.C.'s description of her life is quite fascinating.this is the kind of book you can keep re-reading(I've read it several times,browsing through different parts).I recommend it strongly for everyone,and especially for A.C.fans.
