Summary: One Word...Entranced
Review: I bought the book, brewed a pot of coffee, and sat on my porch chair with a cigar, the book, and a cup of java. Next thing I knew, it was almost 5 am, I was on the last page, and I took a look around. I half expected a sandy beach, a Grumman Goose tied off to a tall palm, conchs roasting on a fire, and a hammock strung between two trees. Much to my dismay, I was still in Indiana. The next day, I read it again. A great tale, and an excellent introduction to Parrothead life. Can be a touch difficult to follow from one scene to another unless you are paying attention.

Summary: Good grief, is there anything this man can't do?
Review: Great book, great story! I bought it just because Jimmy wrote but quickly realized he is good! He makes so many references to lyrics we all know so well that as the reader you seem readily familiar with the book. I wish I could have written this review years ago, because I said then it would make a great movie. I can't wait to see it.

Summary: Interesting book, it should open "DOORS"
Review: The bottom line is that, as a long time Bubba fan, Jimmy has put forth another entertaining piec of work. I read this book a while ago (When it came out) and I found it great. Hey JB, What do you know about Jim morrison that we don't? "Have you ever been to Africa?"

Summary: Jimmy Buffett meets James Redfield
Review: Being a Parrothead, saw him in Boston on 3/38/99, I could not help but pick up this book. I felt Jimmy was doing a comic, cosmic version of The Ninth Insight. He gives a lot of information that could help you with your celastial navigation, and throws in some Banana Wind and other lyrics and characters. I read Pirate Looks At 50 first, and plan on reading Tales From Margaritaville. I felt he hurried up the ending in Where Is JM, which gave him a great excuse for a sequel...Donde Esta Desdemona?

Summary: Great read to get a basic feel about Jimmy Buffett!
Review: It's been out for at least 10 years or so, but for a newly minted parrothead (or someone who's trying to figure out why he's so popular), it's a great starting point to get a feel of the person and the philosophies of Jimmy Buffett. It's a great story, and goes off on odd tangents, but the read is worth it, and in the end, you just about wish to move to the Carribbean or Key West and try to live life as uniquely as Jimmy or his characters. It's escapism at its finest, has a happy ending, and it's a wonderful book, even if you're knowledge of Jimmy Buffett ends with the song "Margaritaville."

Summary: Perfect for the beach
Review: I picked up this book at the gift shop of the Caribbean resort where I had recently vacationed after I grew restless with the books I had brought with me. This is a perfect escapist read and the memories of flipping its pages on the beach while sipping margaritas still brings a smile to my face. Sure, the story is far out and out of control, but every twist made me laugh and wonder what was coming next. I recommend this to anyone looking for fun read

Summary: Too scatterbrained for me
Review: While I love Jimmy Buffett's music, I finally had to give up on the book after around 120 plus pages. He kept introducing new characters and going into events that happened to the characters that seemingly had nothing to do with the story (Maybe he tied it all together at the end.) I will never know, because I lost interest.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An absolute must read for any contemporary adventure fan
Review: Jimmy has done it. You don't have to be a "parrot head" to enjoy this fascinating read. There is something for everyone, romance, adventure, mystery, and a definitely "island time" flavor to this book. I couldn't put it down. I then passed it to my retired parents who just loved it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Everyone, not just Parrotheads, will love this book
Review: This book keeps your attention, even when you are not reading it. It stayed on my mind until I finally found out how it all ended. This is the best book by Buffett, or about Buffett, that I have read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Review: Buffett knows how to tell a story and this is evident in this book about love and adventure.
