Review: This book is a great read and a fun ride,with locations from the lower Keys, to Nassau to Haiti to Africa and a cast of wacked out characters that only Buffett could cook up. USA Today Newspaper called it "one wierd tale" and that it is, but it's got something for everyone; funny, suspenseful and at times off the wall. If you need a break and can't manage the out islands of the Bahamas, this book is the next best cure for the common day.

Review: From one Parrothead to another- you'll love this book. The plot line may seem a little twisted, but Buffett ties it all together through creativity and amazing imagery. This book is great for everyone, beach bums, pilates, fiction-lovers, and parrotheads alike. This book gets my best rating.

Review: "That's my story and I'm sticking to it"?? I was singing the whole way through this book. I found this at a used English-language book stall in a village on Turkey's Turquoise Coast, and used it to escape endless hours of boredom, waiting for tourists to charter our gulet. The Turkish captain got so tired of hearing me burst out laughing, he nearly tossed me overboard. This is ESCAPISM par excellance! Even if you're not a Buffet fan, you'll love these characters...they occupy every beach shack in the world.

Review: I just bought the Joe Merchant novel and I must say I am not much of a reader. But this is actually one book I could not put down. It had such compelling characters that really kept the readers thinking. And that's what I look forward to in novels and it is so hard to find. But as always Buffett comes through for me. And thanks for making this 16 year old from Pennsylvania happy!!! I hope to see another novel like this by Buffett soon.

Summary: The only book I consistanly recommende to ALL friends.
Review: I picked up this book in the Miami Airport to ease the pain of a 4 hour delay. Surrounded by romance novels and books about the habits of extremely wealthy people I don`t know or trust, I have to admit that I had no great expectations. I was just looking for something even a little more interesting than the back of my ticket stub. By the time i got to the end of the book hours later, I was reading one line at a time as my Taxi passed by street lamps, casting barely enough light to distiguish the letters, and even then only for 2 seconds at a time. Not only could I not put this book down, I couldn`t even put it down when it was to dark to even read.

Review: I can't say enough about this book. I sat down at the beach and read it in one sitting! The plot, though outrageous, is very good. I could not put this book down. A must read for all Buffet and non Buffet fans. I wish I had a pencil thin mustache, a cheeseburger in paradise, and was wasting away in Margaritaville.
