Summary: Painfully Familiar But Worth The Laughs
Review: I've been down Karyn's road. And as I could see so many familiarites as I read her story (in one sitting might I add), it was comforting to know that I'm not alone through the embarassment and out-of-control journey of the debt-laden. (Although I might add that I never spent $750 on a coat, and would never even consider spending $400 to get my hair done.)

Karyn is a lively writer who uses the same tongue-in-cheek humor found on her web site to creat a fun, flowing recreation of her rise and fall...and rise again. You'll be cheering for her, scolding her, laughing at her and wondering if she's real after all.

This is a fun read for anyone who has ever lost control with their finances only to find themselves eating Ramen every day and going out with creeps for a free dinner.

Summary: !!!!!
Review: How did this girl get a book deal? Her story is somewhat interesting but she lacks the ability to write well. Bosnak is excessively fond of the exclamation point and feels it necessary to use it every second or third sentence. Where was her editor???? I am not critical of the author because of what she did but I do think she should have gotten someone to ghost write this thing.

Summary: Funny tale about the things a girl can do to get out of debt
Review: I have been following Karyn's tale of debt-redemption almost since the creation of "save Karyn". This book tells the tale behind the site, and how she got herself into debt. At times, you want to scream, "Don't buy it Karyn!" but other times you will laugh at how she justifies buying things. Karyn writes like she is talking to you, and you laugh and cry along with her as she realizes how in debt she has gotten over too many Starbucks, manicures, and purses. I was surprised at her candor about the negitivity she received from the public, and how she took the high road, and just killed everyone with kindness. Truly a great read.

Summary: This book ROCKS!!
Review: This book is hilarious!! I read in in one day unable to put it down. Any gal can relate to Karyn's dilemma. Her ability to use humor in dire straits is refreshing. I highly recommend this book. It was an eye opener to the skeptics out there that still believe "strangers" can't be kind.

Summary: This is such an awesome book!
Review: I was really excited to read this book since I used to visit www.savekaryn.com and watch her debt shrink! Haha, I even donated a buck to her through paypal. Anyway, I learned through her site that she likes the same books as I do and once I saw that she had her own book about to be published, I got all excited. The cover was so cute too!

Of course I bought the book the second day. There were five copies all in the biography section. I took one for myself, left one in the bio section, and took the other three to the new releases section.

Once I got home, I read the first page and could not put it down until I was too sleepy to read anymore. Karyn writes with so much style and description. I felt as if I was her as I read her first person story. The shopping, pedicures, manicures, and waxes! (All you women know it's hard to resist frivolous, expensive things!) Her story goes back to when she still lived in Chicago and also gives background info on herself.

I really don't know what else to say. THIS BOOK ROCKS!!!!!!!!! I JUST FINISHED IT TODAY!

Summary: Karen's Review of Karyn
Review: From page one of this hilarious but true story I was captivated! I couldn't put the book down! Karyn became my best friend from the time I began the book! Moving from Chicago to New York, Karyn explores the Big Apple with her best friend...American Express. Her journey from Bloomingdale's to Barney's and all that's in between leads the reader not only on a shopping tour of Manhattan, but on a tour of Karyn's life. In the book we meet her family (animals too), friends, and dates. I have been a fan of Karyn's website www.savekaryn.com for about a year. I am amazed and impressed with her ingenious way of getting out of debt. This book is a must read for all shopoholics-you will see yourself on every page!

Summary: Honest, funny, and at times even sad! A must-read!
Review: This book is a "must-read" for anyone who has ever been hopelessly in debt, been hopelessly addicted to shopping (or any other activity for that matter), or has ever felt they've made such a mess of life, that there's no hope at all. Karyn Bosnak proves in this true tale that there is hope, and that not everything is always as bad as it seems. Sometimes a little creativity and humor are all one needs to pull oneself up from a bad situation. I read this candid, true-life account in two sittings of two hours apiece, alternately laughing and crying--laughing because Karyn Bosnak is not afraid to make fun of herself and her situation, and crying because, well unfortunately, I could relate to a lot of the content. She also gives a non-New Yorker a glimpse of what it must have been like to have been living and working in Manhattan on September 11, 2001. (One account of a co-worker's reaction to events particularly had me in tears.) As I was reading, I saw that what she learned and took with her from that day had a long-term effect on her and was perhaps the catalyst in the turnaround she made of her life and her spending habits.

I've followed www.savekaryn.com for the better part of the past year, and I was glad to see that the book follows the same colorful, humorous, and refreshingly honest format she's used in putting together the website (which I'm sure, like myself, others are probably kicking themselves over because they didn't come up with the idea first). I truly believe that this book should be required reading material for anyone embarking on the independent road as a young adult, and I would even recommend it to the harshest of her website's critics as a way to get to know Karyn Bosnak better and for who she really is --a creative and caring individual with high goals, who just happened to make a few mistakes along the way in reaching them. Buy this book...you won't be sorry!

Summary: Save Karyn: One Shopaholic's Journey to Debt and Back
Review: What an eye-opener! It's easy to see how anyone can fall victim to the lure of the credit card "buy now pay later". These actions have consequences and this book shines a bright light on how hard a person can fall without self-control.

Summary: Save Karyn Indeed!
Review: I vaguely remember hearing about this chick who got herself into debt and came up with the brilliant idea of asking people for money to help her pay off her credit card debt. When I saw this book in my store ( ...), I immediately picked it up and started reading it on my break. I got so engrossed with Karyn's story that I found myself almost 200 pages into it.

Her story reads like it's fiction and it's funny funny funny! She takes us from the beginning when she moves to NYC to her complete and utter downfall. I loved how she put copies of her CC statements so we could see how foolish her spending really was. And the way she justified some of those purchases had me in stitches.

This is a great book to give to anyone who's going away to college about the evils of debt. Learn from Karyn's mistakes....and check out her website: www.savekaryn.com

It still has money saving tips and a monthly update on her life.

Ohh, BTW, ..., I got a discount on your book, Karyn :)

Summary: What every shopper is really thinking
Review: A girl who writes what she thinks! We've all been out shopping before and justified our purchaes whether it was for $30 or $3000. Karyn makes you want to shop yet at the same time limit yourself before you go overboard. A quick, enjoyable read that you won't put down until you figure out how she pays it all back. For the twenty-something female finding her way in the world i'd definetly recomend it as a must read!
