Summary: An Inspiring Book
Review: It's easy to judge Karyn for the mistakes she has made in life, but the people who do so may well have made mistakes of their own. We're all human. Sure Karyn spent a ridiculous amount of money on designer clothing, but she also made it in one of the toughest cities on the planet.

Like Karyn I have my own credit card debt. I don't own any designer clothes, but I was out of work for awhile through no fault of my own (like Karyn) and that's how my credit card nightmare began. Then along came my loser exboyfriend who ran up my debt even more.

Karyn has been an inspiration to me, in my attempt to write myself out of credit card debt. This is a good book with a positive message. Anyone who has been in debt as Karyn has will find a friend in the pages of this book.

Summary: Useless junk
Review: totally obnoxious. positively idiotic. as travis correctly pointed out, beggars are beggars. i dont know who would be naive enough to fall for this female's pleas.

karyn, you should be ashamed. you have basically swindled good people.

to the people who sent their money to karyn, i would ask you to think whether what you did was justified or not. if you had donated that dollar you sent to this 'already rich' lady to some UNICEF organisation atleast some really needy child in some war-torn african country would have genuinely benifitted from you.

please please i beg you not to fall for such traps again.
hope i drove the point home

Summary: Smart women do it too!
Review: As an ex-New Yorker, I can tell you that karyn's story is not unique and I hardly doubt she is stupid. NYC is a crazy place when you are in your 20's, working to support yourself, completely surrounded by extravagance, with a pay check that may not cover much more than life necessities (and yes, for those of you without a sex life, a Brazilian is a necessity for a 27 y.o. in NYC). I must agree with the reviewer who suggested that those bashing karyn are just jealous of how she was able to leverage her creative endeavours. Did she ever set out to become famous? No. She provided a clever web site full of ideas of how to save money, and her goal was to get out of debt. She didn't beg for the money. The fact that she is so popular now only goes to show you how much everyone is interested in her story and probably wishes it was they who thought of it!

Summary: Great, but what's the point?
Review: Honestly, this book is ridiculous. Anyone who enjoys this book and is proud of the purchase is worse than Karyn Bosnak. Anyone can run up a credit card debt of $20,000 -- the fact that she was able to swindle people out of their hard earned money shouldn't be condoned. No matter how you look at it, beggars are beggars, online or in the street. Now Karyn's making money off of stupid people (maybe you) who support this nonsense. Karyn, it's your fault you were in debt, not the world's. Yet you play off people's sympathy to get on their good side and take money from them (and continue to). I'm sure you're making a killing off of all this, but I hope it's short lived.

Don't buy this trash. If you want to help a beggar, I'm sure you can find plenty of TRULY POOR people in your town. Karyn's a fake.

Summary: loved it!
Review: Anyone who bags Karyn and her book are just pissed off that she's had so much success. The book is great. It's funny and heartfelt and should be enjoyed light-heartedly.

Summary: Stop rewarding this idiocy
Review: This is what is wrong with the world today. People. Please. The whole idea was ludacris to start with, and now there is a book about it? Maybe I'll start publishing my grocery lists, They would be equally important to society.

Summary: A Despicable Person
Review: While shamelessly begging on the Internet,
Karen would occasionaly have a nice meal at a restaurant.
Her 'tip' for the rest of us, is to simply not leave a tip!
It's OK, you're on a budget!

So sad for the waitperson.. but Karyn is smarter at watching her money now!

Blechhh.
I need to read some Jehovah's Witness pamphlets now, to cleanse my palate.

( I am not now, nor have I ever been, a waitperson )

Ra

Summary: Reasons to believe in Random Acts of Kindess
Review: I bought this book one morning and had finished it by bedtime that same day. I couldn't put it down. I loved every single thing about it...from the breakdown of Karyn's credit card bill at the beginning of each chapter to the negativity she had to face during her journey. This book is truly a "feel-good" book. You can't help but smile as she graciously receives so much kindness from others. Buy the book--you'll love it!

Summary: An Exemplary Book of How Not to be in Debt
Review: This book is too hard to put down. Ms. Bosnak chronicles how her excessive spending put her serious debt using her credit card statements, listing what she bought, and assuming whether it was a need or a want. Like her, my debt (not as much as hers) put me in an emotional and physical state. I gained weight, wore what could fit me because I couldn't afford to get a new wardrobe, and cried because I didn't know how I was going to meet the payments. The stores that she frequented were more expensive. I had to settle for Hecht's and mail-order catalogs like Tweeds and Chadwick's. I got rid of the credit cards with the help of my mother. She wasn't too happy when I showed her the statements. But she did show me where I was messing up in using credit cards.
Ms. Bosnak, like myself and others, try to keep up with the Joneses in the latest fashions and accessories. It's more than one can take and it can be very costly. I did find her creative designing a website to get herself out of debt and to show others what not to do in her situation. This book was a very good read and I would highly require it for college students to read before they graduate from college. Moral of the story--living beyond your means can hurt more than improve your lifestyle.

Summary: Credit Card Debt, It can Happen to anyone
Review: "Save Karyn" by Karyn Bosnak is a great book! This book is a true story of Karyn Bosnak, who at twenty-six moved from Chicago to New York and in one year found herself 20,000 in debt and no job. So she came up with the most creative way to get out of debt. She ask people for money on the internet and they gave it to her.
This book not only shows how Karyn got out debt, but give hope to people that are still struggling with it. This book should be required reading when any person gets their first credit card because it help avoid the problems Karyn had.
