Review: vibe did an excellent job of letting its readers know who the real tupac was. this book is a compilation of the articles that vibe has published over the years dealing with tupac and the people close to him. The articles are interviews from tupac, death row associates and others, along with some letters sent to the editor, and quotes from people who knew tupac. it goes in-depth about suge knight and his multi-million dollar recording company, death row, and all the people who were involved with it. the book also goes behind the scenes of tupac's shooting in new york, his court cases, his enemies and his struggles with the law, prison and trying to make it in the world. many of the articles have to do with the conflicts that surrounded tupac and his music, his lifestyle and personality. tons of awesome, colorful photos are included, although there are no captions for them so the reader is left wondering when, where and who the photo is about. overall this book is very well put together in chronological order and should be on the shelf of any true 2pac fan. we miss ya pac and will never forget you!! your spirit lives on forever!

Summary: Pictorial Life of Tupac Shakur
Review: Through a collection of Vibe Magazine articles through out and after 2pac's life, one is able to piece 2pac's life by chronicles of events and interviews. While this may not be the most complete biography (159 pages, nearly half of which contain photos), it'll leave fans more than just satisfied. The book remains compelling from start finish, from articles written back when 'Pac was alive adding to its authenticity, exclusive interviews and brillant photos. There are so many large glossy photos, to the point that the book could double as a coffee table book for the curious to thumb through. Another enjoyable facet of this book, is even though it is a collection of articles and such rather than one continuous biography, it allows the reader to save analysis for themselves. Rather than offering answers, this compilation will only arise more questions on the two sidedness of Tupac and his often contridictory personality. Only complaint is this book can be easily read in a matter of a night, but worth reading and browsing by fans and the curious in hopes to understand Tupac.

This book is very well done and covers so much. When he was shot the first time 5 times..and leading up to his unjustly death..i recommend this book to anyone if they want to learn about 2pac, he wasnt a bad man or a gangsta like most assume, he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time..or he just got involved with the wrong ppl...and like he said live by the gun..die by the gun..and that is exactly what happened to this man...may he rest in peace

Summary: Tupac at his best!!
Review: Someone once said that "Vibe magazine is one some love s###." No, I disagree. Tupac has graced the cover of Vibe no less that 4? times before his untimely death. No one in the rap game (then or now) affected us the way Tupac did. The mystery that still surrounds his death still haunts most of his fans. Tupac became larger than life in death. He released more albums in death than in life. He has easily become the Black Elvis. The book gives you a timeline from the beginning to his tragic end. The questions still linger on. Who? What? When? Where? Most of these questions will never be answered. One man who was going to come forward with information was killed, execution-style. Suge (at the time) was in prison. Other people are either too scared to talk, are in prison, dead or cannot be located. There are lots of theories that Tupac is still alive as he may have insinuated in his music: post-humous album Makaveli: The 7 Day Theory. We even get to hear Tupac's side of the story for the woman who accused him of rape. {He was never convicted of rape, but of sexual abuse.}as well as the story of the first attempt on his life. This is an excellent book!

Summary: Essential, a must have!
Review: This is one of the better books to be published about Tupac since his death. All props go to the people at VIBE who hit upon this concept of publishing all of their Tupac interviews, plus the interviews of other hip hop artists, in one book. This is a good method of examining Tupac's life and how and where he went wrong. From reading the interviews in this book, the reader can get an Idea of exactly where Tupac was coming from, and how he self-distructed his character in his last days. It was obvious that Tupac wanted attention, the kind that he didn't get growing up, the kind that only a father figure could give him. Through his words, it was obvious that Tupac was defintelely searching for a leader, someone too knock some sense into his head. Instead of trying to find that person, he became his own worse enemy. Tupac, wherever you are, I hope you find the peace that you so desperately wanted while you where alive. RIP.

Summary: Tupac Shakur Book Is A Must-Buy!
Review: As a massive fan of the late great Tupac Shakur, there are few publishings that capture as much information and insight into his life and career as this amazing book from the good people at Vibe Magazine. Consisting of every Vibe article and interview written on Shakur between 1994-97, this gives even the most casual of Pac's fans more information than they could ever dream of. With features on his early career, his signing to Death Row, and his infamous interview with Kevin Powell from inside Clinton Correctional Facility where he denounced "Thug Life", it's all here. This book also contains some of the most informative material on the feud between Death Row Records and Bad Boy. You'll get everyone's side of the story on the Can-Am Studio shooting. You'll hear what both Suge and Puffy had to say about the East vs. West saga. You will also get to hear Pac at his rawest and most candid. If you are even the least bit interested in the amazing story of Tupac Shakur, you should pick up this book.

Summary: A good in depth book
Review: This book is not all about rap to start this review out. This book is more about his life and how he grew up in New York and lived on the bad part of the city. This book also mentions a lot of people who he has met many famous people before he was actually famous himself. The book tell some interesting facts about how his coward father left him and his mother alone and has some facts about how his sister was born and how she was also left by her father and how both of them were stuck with their mother that was on crack at the time and going through problems at school. I would highly recommend this book to any one who is interested in one of the worlds best and in depth rapper. I liked this book because it had a lot of facts and part where he ran into problems and how he handled most of them.

Summary: very informative
Review: I my self am not a very big fan of rap music however i was intrigued to read this book after looking into some of the lyrics of 2pacs singles they seemed very in depth. After reading the lyrics i felt that his words had a lot of depth and soul attached to them which intrigued me to find out more about the rap star.

I myself have a genuine interest in politics, philisophy and poetry similarly to 2pac and i felt that i could relate to some of the lyrics he wrote. This book on tupac gives a deeper insight to the rap artist not only his music and talent but to his life it shed light on many differant topics from differant aspects and i found it very inspirational. What i particularly liked about this book was the way it presented both sides of the story (with the rape case) and i felt this ruled out any bias.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has a love for reading regardless of whether they have a genuine interest in rap this book not only looks at his career but looks at his inspiration, ambition, life and above all recognised him as more than a rap artist but as a human being and who he actually was!!!

Summary: A TRUE LEGEND NEVER DIES
Review: I would just like to say that Tupac was a mentor to a alot of young people like myself. I have read every book that Tupac has written or an auto-biography.The words out of Tupac's mouth were definitely felt by all of his fans and successors. He had so much to say about alot of sensitive subjects that rarely ever get recognized... Therefore I am giving this and all his material five stars.
