Summary: Uninspired
Review: I read this book two weeks ago and can't even remember what I read. Obviously, not a great read. I bought the book because other reviewers on this site compared it to David Sedaris, who is hilarious. That was an insult to Sedaris. Save your money!

Summary: Is a drunk person really funny?
Review: I was very disappointed in this book. I have never found a drunk person funny just really sad. I don't know what bothers me more, this book or all the people who thought it was so great on this site. Maybe Laurie's right, everyone does have a drinking problem...except me.

Summary: A Must-Read for Any Girl With a Druken Past
Review: I started reading this book at a friend's house last night when I was supposedly babysitting her 6-year old. When the real babysitter showed up, I stole the book, went straight home and read until the ... I'd taken for my bum knee kicked in and I zonked out. I finished the book first thing when I woke up this morning. I loved this book! It is very funny and I highly recommend it to anyone who has a bit of a wild, drunken past (or present, or future, for that matter). I hope Laurie makes TONS of money from this book. I'm hoping she'll soon be syndicated!

Summary: Yeah but...
Review: This book is so funny that I laughed out loud while reading it the first time. On reading it a second time I found it to be somewhat frightening. She's billed as an "everywoman" but has ANY of this stuff actually happened to you? I sure hope not. I couldn't tell if Ms.Notaro is just kidding or if this book is for real.

Summary: So Much Fun!
Review: I received this book as a gift and I LOVED it! Absolutely hilarious tales that are quick reads and a nice change from all the heavy stuff going on in this world. Laurie Notaro's writing style is fresh and her humer is self-depracating. You will honestly laugh out loud and will want to share this one with all of your friends, which is exactly why I received this as a gift.

Summary: funny funny funny
Review: I picked this book up just by chance and couldn't stop reading it out loud to my sister!! It is one of the funniest books I've read in a long time. Wonderful short articles from the author's column.

Summary: Not for the uptight ... reader
Review: If excessive social drinking, smoking and bad hair days offend you, then this is NOT the book for you. It's a great book for anyone who can remember the so-called "good old days" when your friends meant everything, you drank more than you should, and had no money. I took this book on vacation and would start laughing out loud -- my husband kept looking at me like I was nuts, then I would show him one of the stories and he would crack up too. Most stories can be read in about five minutes, so it's a perfect book for when you don't have lots of undisturbed time for reading (like when you have little kids asking you every five minutes for something like I do.) I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Summary: Laurie is the Cat's Pajamas
Review: No doubt about it, this book is by far one of the most hilarious things I've ever read. Like so many other people, I was laughing so hard I nearly fell off the sofa and probably scared the holy hell out of my husband (in the end, he read it, too). For anybody who loves a good book about the dork in all of us, this one is it.

Summary: Could not be funnier....
Review: Picked this book up at the bookstore at in the Chicago airport during a layover--and it saved me from what would have been an otherwise miserable three-hour wait. I was laughing so hard people started staring at me, but the laughter was well worth the odd looks I got. The stories were just like my friends and I in college, it almost felt as if the author had been spying on me. Carry on, Laurie! You're the voice inside the idiot girl of us all!
