Rating: Summary: Captivating Review: This book was a joy to read! It gave me new insight into how to live the Christian life. While I don't believe we are all called to be intercessors as he was, I believe we can all gain from the steps of relinquishment he took. It became very clear to me that he lived a hard life, but probably more exciting and more fullfilling than any other person who followed Jesus with the exception of the Apostles. This book will definitely help in understanding the real Christian walk and the joy that can be received when we obey His calling. It is very easy reading and is hard to put down. Miracles abound in his life. Spiritual warfare is put into context of recent history. Wonderful!

Rating: Summary: Do you want to learn of a modern John the Baptist Review: This book was amazing, it spoke to me in ways only you will know when you read this book. God's presence is around you when you are reading this book. A must for anyone who needs a lift in their Christian life. It has shown me ways to speak with God that I have never experienced before, a must read
Rating: Summary: Theological Problems with this Book Review: This book will challenge your heart. It did mine. Not Only will it give a glimpse of the prayer life of one of God's mightily used servants, it will help you to realize that God is very active in world affairs today. The part about his involvment in WWII was inspiring and faith building.

Rating: Summary: Extremely Thought and Heart Provoking Book Review: This book, next to the bible - has the ability to change your life. I did not know it was possible for God to so rule and reign in another life. I and others have used the term "intercessor" so loosly. When you read about this humble man of God, and you understand how he came to this walk and the different levels he came to and what he gave up and then received from the Lord. It brings you to contemplate what God could do in you, if you allowed it. Hard questions surface - such as: Does God want to use me in this way? How much of "self" has not been dealt with by the Lord? Must it truly take a lifetime to give up "self" or can one endeavor through prayer in a conserted effort - give up self much more quickly - as Rees Howells did. Finally, I've had to ask myself if I even know of an intercessor - here on this earth - if "fruit" continues to be the test. This is one of the most annointed books, I have ever read. I continue to read it over and over again, that the Lord may deal with me. Excellent

Rating: Summary: Gripping Review: This fascinating book about a real man who was called by God to be an intercessor was gripping. His trials, tribulations and amazing interactions with God made for great reading.
Rating: Summary: an amazing testimony Review: This is a most amazing biography. I've read literally scores of Christian biographies, but this is undoubtedly one of the most enriching of them all. I've read it over and over - there's just so much in it; the life story of a Welsh man who sought to fully trust God in all he did, and who constantly stepped out in faith, often 'dangerously', yet God always provided for him. So challenging to each of us personally to really 'walk' with God, to put our faith to the test. A VERY rewarding read indeed.
Rating: Summary: Learning About Intercession Review: When I first read this book I had to reread several sections just to absorb the content. While I had heard of such men, I had never read their own accounts of how God used them. Every Christian ought to read this book, if for nothing else, than just to have the exhilerating experience of seeing God work through the life of another. This book will bring conviction concerning your prayer life, your trust in God, your obedience to the Holy Spirit and a number of other "lax" areas that most saints refuse to acknowledge exist in their lives. Again, I believe this book is a must to be read.
