Summary: See Life Through Seinfeld-Eyes And Laugh Your ... Off!
Review: I have always been a fan of the TV Show "Seinfeld". I was not that fond of the comic's strand-up act, but after reading this book, I learned to appreciate the genius behind the countless observations, which in hindsight are so obvious. To go through life actually noticing all of the absurdity going on around us is a gift Jerry Seinfeld is sharing with the reader.

Seinfeld reminds me of Roberto Benini's film "Life Is Beautiful". It does no one any good to complain about life's shortcomings. To laugh at things that otherwise would appear tragic is how we get through difficult situations and even tragedies. Seinfeld's book should have Annette Funicello's quote for a finishing touch: "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful!" -- Seinfeld has discovered the secret of happiness. I highly recommend this book.***...

Summary: Laugh Out Loud
Review: People who have seen the earlier Seasons of "Seinfeld" (TV Sitcom) are aware of Jerry Seinfeld's stand up comedy act which appears at the beginning & end of each episode. All those jokes are present in this book. I have never seen Jerry S on stage doing his routine, so I found plenty of new jokes in the book. Others may find the book full of his stage acts.
Jerry S doesnot talk about himself or his life except for a small 2 page note at the beginning. Readers won't know/understand the person "Jerry Seinfeld" any better after reading this book. The book is Hilarious. He tells us the delivery & timing now depends on us because this is a book.
The Humour covers almost all aspects of life such as Dating, Clothes/Fashion, Personal Upkeep, Friends, Travelling, Jobs, Going Out and our Life as we grow. I had a great time acting out these jokes in front of my friends. ENJOY and Laugh Out Loud.

Summary: He rules.
Review: Huge Seinfeld fan here, and I was finally able to get around to getting this book. Very happy I did. It's such an easy read, that I finished it in a matter of hours, while at work. His observations ring so true, which makes them even funnier. Great investment if you ever need a quick pick me up.

Summary: This guy's got a lot of soul
Review: Probably sounds kind of corny for me to say that Jerry Seinfeld has a lot of soul, especially since he is known as the King of Shallowness with all his "did you ever notice?" humor. But I think the view of Jerry as shallow comes from a misunderstanding of the concept of "nothing." Anyone who has studied Buddhism will know about the importance of "nothingness" or of being an empty vessel. The objective is to clear one's mind of all preconceived ideas so that one can fully experience the present moment. In order for Jerry to make his supposedly shallow and obvious observations, he has to be completely in the present moment and unfettered by beliefs and ideas of how things should be - which is exactly what Buddhism advocates.

The feeling I get is that Jerry is not so much a comedian but a storyteller and perhaps a frustrated teacher (for evidence of his storytelling inclinations, check out his children's book HALLOWEEN). He likes to illustrate principles and he seems to want to guide people (I found it heartwarming that he credits his father, who died before this book's publication, with teaching him the importance of humor). Further evidence of his didactic persuasions is the way in which he tries to help women understand men. In SEINLANGUAGE he talks about men, being a man, and homophobia. And in his stand-up act I'M TELLING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME he says to his audience, "You wanna know what men are thinking? I'll tell you what men are thinking ... nothing."

Trust me. Looks can deceive ... this guy's got a lot of soul.

Summary: The TV serial in words!
Review: I wonder what Jerry Seinfeld, he of the great TV series, would say about this book were he reviewing it. "SeinLanguage? SeinLanguage? I haven't even mastered English yet!"
SeinLanguage is the TV serial written down. Many of the situations mirror the show and remind one of all those more fun than fun moments we enjoyed when the show was on television. Lest you think the book is all funny, let me admit there are as many misses as hits. But past several poorly and awkwardly phrased sentences SeinLanguage is the type of book one would pick up for one hot afternoon or a lazy weekend morning. The book is chock full of the real life truisms that made the show click with so many.

Summary: great book
Review: Seinfeld is one my favorite comedians of all time. Seinlanguage really shows his comedy well. The book is filled with his great material.

Summary: Just like his monologues... not funny!
Review: There is almost nothing funny about this book. None of Seinfeld's "observations" are witty or interesting. Plowing through the book is a waste of time. I did not laugh even once, and I LOVE funny books. Seems to me that it's not bad humor, it's simply NO humor. You might like it if you're a fan of his monologues, but otherwise I suggest that you save your money for something else. It's just awful. (Sorry for pointing out that the Emperor is not wearing anything.....)

Summary: Excruciatingly unfunny
Review: There's literally nothing funny about this book. Plowing through it was agonizing, a total waste of time. It should be read only with a lot of canned laughter in the background; on its own, it will not produce a single laugh, not even a chuckle. This is not bad humor, it's NO humor. If I could give it a minus 5 stars, I would. Save your money for something else--anything else.

Summary: A good laugh for us cynics
Review: A good one, but a short one. Good book for the beach or a short plane flight; or if your like me, a good book for inspiration on just how dumb us humans really are.

Summary: A great book
