Summary: Hillarious! Great read!
Review: Wow, he sure is a moron. If you're looking for some kick-back and enjoy literature, read this. The first paragraph alone has THREE incomplete sentences. I have no idea how we elected him, but it sure is fun to read what he thinks (what little of it).

Summary: Sad
Review: This book and its subject provide definitive proof that P.T. Barnum was right. "There's a sucker born every minute."

What kind of a dupe could possibly support and/or defend the outright lies in this book?

Summary: Where is the real story?
Review: This book didn't give any of the facts or details of Georges' life...his REAL life. Everything was sugar coated and glazed over. I wanted him to answer and explain some of the charges made against him...to prove them untrue. Lies can hurt him, so its up to George to prove them untrue... which he didn't in this book. So I'm left to believe..... I've also read Fortunate Son by JH Hatfield and its about George W Bush. I believe the Hatfield version of GW's life. I'm wondering how Hatfield can say those things about the Bushes if they aren't true. I didn't care a lot for the book. It should have been more detailed.

Summary: Thank God for President Bush!
Review: I read this book as president Bush was running for president and found it quite interesting.Although his communications director probably did the actual writing you won't be able to tell it. I thank God that he has let this man be our president

Summary: Almost Like Sitting In A Conversation
Review: I located a hard copy of this book and decided to just hear what the then Gov. Bush had to say. It was a few months after the rollercoaster of the presidential election.

To be honest, I can't figure out why this book has received such low ratings. I went into the book with an open mind (I was one of those who were on the fence this past election and opted for who I thought was the best man). I had concerns on some of the views and stances Mr. Bush took as Gov. of Texas.

I found this book extremely easy to read and follow. It was almost like spending a weekend in conversation with someone while touching a vast array of topics in getting to understand the person. It was rather enjoyable, especially if you embarked on reading this with an open mind. I have read far worse and/or "dry" books.

I suggest if you would can open this book with an open mind and would like to hear President Bush's thoughts, rational and stances that the reader could come out with more insight to George W. I don't think the book itself would have swayed me during the election but I appreciate the openness of discussing various topics. On hindsight, maybe had I been open enough to have read the book, I would have had an easier time making my presidential decision this past election.

To me, this book deserved a three plus star rating but I have no qualms recommending it to interested readers and giving it a four star rating, in my opinion.

Summary: Lookie Here! I Done Wroted A Book!
Review: Well, now...I cain't lie to all you good 'mericans. Karen Huge he'ped me out A LOT on this. I'm so glad Daddy picked her for me, and this will really help put food on her family. So when y'all gettin' your tax refund back this year, buy, buy, BUY!

Yep, there's a lot of things I had her leave out...the years I spent hopped up on Peruvian marching powder, the time I went on a two-year bender while AWOL from the National Guard (Yeehah! Lotta fun...gotta do that again, and soon!), the failed oil bidnesses in mah "home" state, that little bit o' insider tradin' I did back in the early nineties (SHHHHHhhhh!!)...but that's all behind me now. Trust me, for I am your pars'nent, and together we can all build the pie higher for my friends at ENRON.

Gawd bless y'all,

Dumbya

Summary: How's Dubya Doing?
Review: Just like this book, lousy! This is simple rhetoric from a very simple man. Talk about integrity, the man just decided to turn his back on our environment so a few of his oil barron buddies wouldn't have to clean up their act! If America doesn't respect the environment, who will? He's more interested in giving tax breaks to those who paved his way into office. What a joke! I'd much rather have a President who screws around than one who screws the country! And perhaps he should have included some chapters on foreign policy since he's having a tough time cracking that nut! This book is just like his administration, a joke that keeps get more and more stale!

Summary: A charge to heave
Review: As a journalist and small business owner, I've met and spoken to our ex-governor four or five times. I can't remember for certain how many, as he made almost no impression on me - any attempt to talk about something more substantial than how hot it was proved fruitless. The same holds true for this book, which was obviously written for him.

This book (I hate to give it so noble a term) is a slick piece of marketing material, nothing more. It's designed to sell the same insipid and irritatingly unbelievable 'compassionate conservatism' nonsense Bush Jr. (let's all face it, people - the removal of Herbert does not a different name make) hawked from coast to coast throughout 2000. I found it most enlightening that while zooming around the country, talking about how compassionate he is and sucking up every dime that wasn't nailed down, he couldn't take one day off and go to Fort Worth last spring, after a tornado ravaged its way through downtown, leaving a swath of destruction which is still in abundant evidence.

If you want to put on some rose-colored glasses and read a biography which bears a tangential relationship to the real story, by all means pick up this book and memorize it. If you're interested in the truth, look elsewhere.

Summary: Brain Freeze
Review: Simply put, re-reading this book would infect my brain. I've never read such immemorable, meaningless rhetoric before, and I hope I never shall again. Beware especially of his "masterful" explanation of why education "doesn't work" and why welfare-esque religion will be the "saving grace" of the nation. Steer clear of this book at all costs!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Hear him out!
Review: Everyday we see him in the newspapers, thirdhand accounts of his beliefs and ideas. Now he tells you his side. This book is so inspirational, it really gives hope to America. You won't find bogged down descriptions of policy and the problems getting it passed in this book; it's all about "Dubya" himself. Do yourself a favor, and get to know and understand his policies so that as an American citizen you can have a better understanding of the issues.
