Summary: children's book
Review: George Bush is the perfect leader for a country whose citizens know next to nothing about general politics. If you're trying to teach yourself english as a second language then this book would be a good stepping stone. For a man who has two Ivy League degrees one would assume that he would be able to put together a more thoughtful or insightful book. Between Bush and the co-author Karen Hughes, they tell you exactly what they want you to know. The book is peppered with stories of how GW and Laura are able to charm their critics. GW talks of how he joined the national guard and ultimately made the difficult decision that he wanted to go to Vietnam, but DARN! the armed forces wouldn't be taking his division. I'm sure his dad had nothing to do with that. Even that is a moot point since GW went AWOL for a year and a half. He gives his stance on oil: "I am optimistic about the natural gas business. The demand for gas is strong. Gas is a clean burning fuel that is GOOD FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT. Gas is also too expensive to ship from overseas... A strong gas business means a stronger America, less dependent on the foreign supply of energy." He gives us the idea that education is a top priority. If so, then how come funding for education is at maybe an all time low, while funding for war is at an all-time high? GW sure did bring morality back to the White House. This guy is all-talk. He tells you what voters want to hear and believe. Sadly, enough people voted for him and made the election so close that he was able to steal it from the real winner. Also, he doesn't address his cocaine addiction, which is disappointing.

Review: Amazing. Incredible. Comparing this book and what is now going on in the White House leads one to categorize this book as fanatasy or non-fiction.

Summary: At Least He Used Spell-Check
Review: Someday, when my generation takes over, our kids will ask us how it was that such a man could've actually slept in the White House. If they're even interested in politics, that is. By that point I'm sure we'll have an even greater moron buy his way into power and have boot-lickers write even worse propoganda.
There's a reason why people my age don't take this guy seriously. We pay tens of thousands of dollars for college loans while Bush would love to hack away at what little Financial Aid assistance there is (GW went to Yale for free and had the nerve to joke about not studying on national television).
Our parents work more often than anything else and are paid less and less. They hardly ever take vacations. Maybe that's why they have trouble sleeping. (GW grins stupidly into the camera, talking about dignity and hard work, though he's the least experienced with such things) Everyone I know has either done some type of illegal drug, or at least don't look down on those who have. C'mon, we've all done the pot thing. Let's be honest. (Bush has a history with drugs yet pushed for a law that strips working college kids of their financial aid if they're caught with--oh no!--a joint.) Need I say more. Oh, yeah. We also grew up with Reagen. Been there, seen that, don't want it again.

Summary: Fascinating!
Review: Wow! What an excellent book. Shows how Hughes helped create the political and intellectual powerhouse that is George W. Bush. The scenes from his college days, especially the bukkake event at Skull & Bones, is just delightful!!

Summary: Worst President of all time
Review: Self serving, horibly bland and pointless; obviously written to trick people into voting for him. Too bad it worked.
