Rating: Summary: amusing..how much better does it get? Review: i bought the book soon after it came out because i am a big manson fan. this book was awesome! i mean...even if you dont like manson this book is still interesting.my favorite part was when(back in the old days before anti-christ) they went to disneyland on acid. heh..down with the "sheep" hail the blessed cow ;) l8r kids
Rating: Summary: Great! best I've read in a long time. Review: Great book, excellent in everyway. A close and interesting look into the life of a terrific artist. Despite his troubled childhood I would recommend everyone read it once in there life. I also feel that the book should have gotten into the more satanic side of his lifetime. Once again this was still a good book.
Rating: Summary: Should actually be rated in NEGATIVE numbers. Review: There is no way to adequately summarize or convey the utter pretentiousness, humorlessness, stupidity, and vanity of this book. O.K, for all you "Satanists" out there who think this creature is "the bomb', let me just say that he is pretentious, solipsistic, full of counter-productive pride, and totally lacking in aesthetics. The fact that he wormed his way into ole'Antons confidence may only be evidence that "baldy' had finally started to totally "lose it". There are uses for this book. For one thing , one could always grind all remaining copies into pulp and use them as fertilizer. For another, one might give a copy as a gift to ones worst enemy, but that would be far, far, too cruel. PLEASE, Marilyn, go away.
Rating: Summary: Rocker Shoocker Review: The book had many unique and unseen photos of Manson and depicted his hard childhood. Its a easy short read and is well worth it.
Rating: Summary: I think it was a great book Review: It was really good, and everyone should sit down and read it. So they can find out about one man who everyone thinks is a freak and find out what made him that way. Marlyn Manson had a hard life and the way your brought up affects how you turn out in the end. I think he turned out all right, and I don't believe any roomers that I can't conferm.
Rating: Summary: very descriptive, and one of the best i ever read Review: i ain't much of a book reader, but i had to read this, and i'm so glad i took the time! it was great, the book told how he lived his childhood, and how he got to be who he is as of right now. great book and i enjoyed it a lot!
Rating: Summary: Screwed-up rock star-yes. Great book-definitely! Review: I am somewhat interested in Marilyn Manson, and must say that I wasn't overly excited when I bought the book. However, I started reading the book and I have never said this before but I read it in one sitting because I simply could not put it down. I just couldn't put it down and stayed up until 5 A.M. reading it. If you are even remotely interested in this screwed up rock star then you will thoroughly enjoy this book.
Rating: Summary: eye-opening biography Review: I have listened to Marilyn Manson's music for three years now, and this book cleared up several misconceptions and ideas about Manson. The story presented in the book is very compelling. It is an easy read and is very entertaining.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: When I had first bought Marilyn Mansons album, AntiChrist Superstar, I listened and listened to the lyrics...some I could understand. After I read THE LONG HARD ROAD OUT OF HELL I understood more. I have been a HUGE fan of Marilyn Manson for quite some time now and now I LOVE him even more. Its a awesome book...I recommend you read it...it can "clue you in" on his life...it makes you understand where he comes from.
Rating: Summary: Curiosity got the best of me Review: I have never heard his music, I knew nothing about him, I could have predicted the childhood easily, and yet, I feel somewhat sorry for him. I bought and read this book because I needed to understnd the self muilation and degradation of everyone he meets. I now can see why he's so pathetic and I believe I have never enountered such a level of self-loathing masked by backward philosophy and ignorant explanations of how the world should be....I cannot deny the lifestyle made some interesting reading. In two words? Get help.
