Rating: Summary: MANSON SHOULD BE A GOD Review: THIS BOOK SHOULD BE AN EXAMPLE OF A TEXTBOOK FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN. IT WAS THE ONLY BOOK THAT I HAVE EVER UNDERSTOOD. IT FACED SUCH ISSUES THAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH. NOW I DONT THINK OF MANSON AS JUST A PERSON BUT AS A GOD.
Rating: Summary: it was cool Review: it was cool. the book kept me interested. i never put the book down.manson is cool- the antichrist is my friend.
Rating: Summary: All or nothing Review: This book is definitely worth reading if you're at all interested in Warner's perspective. Still, it's likely that the opposition will pick their ways though it to find the most damaging quotes. Pity. This is one of the better autobiographies that I've seen [not that I'm an expert on autobiographies in general] but it could've been a bit less random. Anyone searching through for specific information will eventually have to sit down and just read it; but then I guess that's the idea behind the work. A few might go beyond just reading it and actually manage to understand it. This is a generally disturbing book that will get the reader to really think about what we all consider life and normality. It inspires a lot of anger, and often regret. And, for the occasional fan, it dispels a lot of the more popular rumours about the singer and his band. There's really no downside to this book [I grade hard, rarely giving out nines and almost never attaching tens] except maybe for the slightly sporadic chronology in the documentation. Come to think about it, this was also one of the most honest and most starkly amusing books I've seen. It's absolutely recommended.
Rating: Summary: Critics make Mason Famous! Review: There are some things we usually don't say about our fantasies or thoughts, but Mason breaks those rules. Thats what makes the book so interesting to read, we want to know the details. I'm not a Marilyn Mason fan, but I admire his individuality and strength for being who he is! Thats what made me read the book, so many people criticize him in a negative way, but he is the superstar, so he's probably doing something right.
Rating: Summary: spookykids every where have to have this! Rating: Summary: I Never Put It Down Review: I have like Marilyn Manson for a few years, so of course I liked the book. But that is not the reason why. After reading it (which took about 3 days) I had a whole new outlook at Marilyn Manson. I now understand why Brian Warner does many of the things that he does. I also understand a lot more of his songs. His views are very understanding and a lot of people would agree with them. I recomend this book to everyone, especially to people who don't like Marilyn Manson, so that they can see the band from a different aspect and maybe come to a better understanding.
Rating: Summary: This book will help you understand Manson a LOT more. Review: This book blew me away. From the time I opened the book and read the first few words of the first chapter, I was hooked. It was graphic, and isn't for the faint of heart, but it was a great and brilliant book. But, did anyone else notice that Trent Reznor was mentioned in the book about 100+ times, but there wasn't one picture of him. It also left some things to the imagination, but I guess that's just the way he writes. Go buy it. You'll like it.

Rating: Summary: Hero or Hoax? Review: I think Marilyn Manson is an interesting and intelligent man, with good things to say.... but as an author, he unwitting reveals how overblown and fictitious his 'empire' is. Quasi-rebellious teenagers and ear-damaging garbage rock do not a demagogue make.... sorry, Marilyn, but you're not half as fascinating or corruptive as the religious right thinks you are. You're just a mediocre musician who knows how to exploit MTV and younger kids; kids who don't even know what Satanism is all about. If he can keep his feet on the ground, he's an interesting storyteller.... otherwise, he should save it for the studio.
Rating: Summary: The Zero Circle of Hell Review: This book cleared the way of Manson into the lives of America. Now, all the Moral Right will have an avenue of attack besides second-hand knowledge. I still find it humorous that all of the negative messages are from supposed "Christians" and do not have one forgiving bone in their body. I feel for Manson on the grounds that people exploit his Satanic (read: humanism) beliefs and have never even read the Satanic Bible. Also, he exposes the "American Dream" for what it is: FAKE
