Summary: Extremely involving!
Review: I am not that much of a reader, but being as how i am a big marilyn manson fan, i picked up this book. i was instantly hooked when i started reading it, it is graphic, thought-provoking, and an intense look into the struggles and tribulations of one of the worlds most notorious shock-rock stars. Very reccomended, even if you absolutely hate manson, or have never heard of him. The parts that stuck with me were his 3 lists (How to tell if you are gay, How to tell if you are a drug-addict, and how to tell if you are cheating on your girlfreind, all very strange). 10 out of 10!

Summary: Decent
Review: Yeah, let's face it, this had the makings of a great tell all book, but it was written very, very badly. For a man who assures of his intelligence, it doesn't show throw his literature. The quality of writing goes beyond trying to identify with the audience, it numbs the reader. However, he does lead an interesting life so it was worth the effort.

Summary: The Long Hard Road Out of Hell
Review: This is the best book ive ever read

Summary: Anti- People, you've gone Too Far.....
Review: This book is definitive proof that the Hypocrisy of our Society, "teachers" and religious leaders (major and minor) is scarring humanity. Fundamentalists hate Marylin Manson....well, They Created him. I have struggled to understand the Warped view of religion that I have seen, throughout my life...leading me to read voraciously in areas of Spirituality, Anthropology, etc.--and I have always been fascinated with Musicians. Marylin Manson has proven, conclusively, that the "morals" we are taught are not remotely Humanitarian in nature. Society is based on how we present ourselves to others....not how we Truly are, or believe. This book shows the Obsessive, Demented way in which we are instructed to live our lives....leading to Repression, Psychosis and all manner of weirdness. Marylin Manson simply tells it like it really IS, instead-of lying abuot the Reality of how messed-up our Culture has become. He does not paint a pretty picture, with white picket fences...he informs you what goes-on in the basement, behind closed doors. This man sees that few people are raising their children in a manner that is conducive to creating intelligent, enlightenend human beings.... So, he is giving the confused masses a forum to vent their frustration. I love Anthropology and attended the Louisville, Ky concert that the locals fought against, radically....until the camera crews left the streets. Thousands of "religious" people shouted that this man would kill us, or turn us into satanists....but, not ONE person waited to see if we survived. I guess the camera crews didn't stay long-enough..... This book may inspire you to study Psychology and pursue Positive Methods of raising children and teaching children in schools, religious groups, etc. Fanatical adherence to Dogma can create a monster.... You hate in others, what you despise in yourself---Food for thought.

Summary: A pure genius!!
Review: Marilyn Manson's autobiography was the most interesting book I have ever read. And that says a lot coming from me. There was not one part even partly boring enough to put this book down. I am on my third time reading it right now. Everytime there is stuff I didn't notice the time before. Whether you love him or hate him.. whether you like the book or hate it.. you will not regret reading it. This book is a sheer masterpiece!

Summary: what a life this is
Review: i am a big fan of marilyn manson. i will say that off the bat. but that does not effect my thoughts on this book. it is beautifuly writen. it lets you see the life of a man whom most adults hate. many teenagers look to and children fear. it makes you compare your life to his and makes you think what you could have been. even if you totaly hate him and wish to have the administrate the death penality, you should read this book to see were he comes from.

Summary: The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell
Review: This is one of those books i couldn't put down. It's interesting to see how he became the interesting, thought (and hate) provoking man he is today. Very, very good book. Highly recommended.

Summary: Fears and Tears
Review: This biography, no matter whose aspect it could have come from, provoked so much emotion from me it was unbelievable. I felt the childhood fears, and cried sympathetic tears. The views of growing up touched home so many times, as I am sure it has done for so many other people. Even if there is a person who is not a fan of the artist, I suggest reading this book with a completely open and willing mind. This book shows a different side to Manson, this shows a boy named Brains growing up in a world that wasn't sure if it wanted him. From childhood to fame, no one could ever be ready, and Manson, though vulgar and obscene in his mannerisms, is more like Americans than America wants to admit. This book shows this in more detail than anything possibly could.

Summary: Love him, or hate him. It's still a great read.
Review: Marilyn Manson is definitely one of the world's most interesting people. His book is no less. Whether your a hardcore fan or a born again Christian.. or both :). I'm willing to bet you will like this book. It starts from when he was a small boy up until the present. It lists his account of the many strange events that come with being and nihilist rock star in an indifferent and humorous tone. The story follows and references the ladder of sin from Dante's Divine Comedy, which is illustrated at the beginning. How ironic. I also think the quotes at the beginning of each chapter are priceless.

If people are going to hate me, I want them to hate me for the right reasons. -Marilyn Manson
