Summary: A Must For All Manson Fans!!
Review: This book was extremely well written! It's a summery of his life, from his young years attending a Christian school, until the release of Anti-Christ Superstar, and although graphic at times, the scene's are a part of his life, and it wouldn't be him without them. Even if you think Manson is dirty, and wrong in his belifs, this book will entirely change your mind. It is definatly a book that's worth investing in!

Summary: Antichrist? Hardly....
Review: I was a fan before I read this novel (i have an autographed copy of it signed by Manson on my desk at home) but this novel didnt like most bios didnt start out "this is why i am special and you should worship me" Manson aka Brian Warner often pokes fun at himself and goes through the typical teen tramas and hardships growing up but this talented former journalist, brings the story of his rise to fame with lots of humor, personal and very embarressing infor such as his first kiss, first time with a girl, why he should never smoke marijuna, and friendships between his bandmates, his family life, and the when his girlfriend aborted their child. There are parts of the novel where Warner admitts he was crying in the process of getting out all the hurt inside. This book makes him especially human to not only his fans but his opponets too, and because it is such a quick read you dont want to put it down. I have convinced people that are not Manson fans to read this novel and loved it just the same and found it a facinating novel. I highly recomend it to everyone. Summary: Great Book kind of "edgy"
Review: This book is very good. Manson shares his life's experiances with us and lets us know that he went through some hard times before he got to where he is today. The book though seems like it is missing something though. But overall a great book.

Summary: It's not the Bible...........It's better!!
Review: I have been a fan of Manson for a while but loved him for his music. I decided that I wanted to know the man behind the make-up and glitter. I purchased the book and started to read what I think is one of the best books I have ever read. I saw what the haters and critics refuse to see; a person with real thoughts and beliefs just like anyone else off the street. Some of his stories can turn your stomach but most have you laughing (or maybe that's just me and I'm crazy, I don't know). Every chapter is better than the one before it. The photos are very creative with a hint of raunch, but what else would you expect? I carried the book around with me everywhere I went just in case I had a second to read a line here or there. I even had a woman ask me if it was my bible, I laughed and said no its not the bible.........its better.

Summary: Completely Compulsive Reading
Review: Being quite new to the Manson phenomenon, I have spent the last 12 months buying all his C.D's, VHS's and books, this book however stand's out from the crowd. There are many things in this highly informative document that many people will identify with. Be warned though, he does not pull any punches and puts scathing attacks on authoritive figures such as his teachers and other religious people. It would be far to easy to say that he does what he does just for effect, there is a highly intelligent man behind the make-up. This book show's the 2 sides of manson that make him so compelling to fans like me, It reveals how he was a loner and outcast at school and was regularly teased about his appearance by the girls he liked. It documents in detail his early music performances with the spooky kids, everything is included in this book, from drugs, sex, abusing groupies, family revelations and his own morals by which he lives his life. He has never forgot the harsh treatment he recieved while growing up and this shows in all of his work and makes him the ultimate spokesman for the large and ever growing band of non religious people worldwide. This book also tells of his painfull transformation from a quietly spoken gentle guy from Ohio to the the all seething all raging rock icon of today. Don't miss this one.

Summary: its good!
Review: Whether a fan, or a critic, this is a good read. You either believe he is the anti christ, or an act,; but the "story" is a good one, explaining how he became what he is. Perhaps its a historical document, perhaps its fiction....who cares. The book, as a story is excellent.....get it!

Summary: A Short Quick Read into Hell
Review: Worth a browse in some mall bookstore, readable for about as long as it is comfortable to stand with a book in one's hand. I will admit to one real laugh that almost made the cappucino foam burst my eustachian tubes. The pics are pretty artsy. But the horrible stories of boring experiments of depravity on handicapped groupies was really too much. Not even so much as a tinge of regret evident, either. I wonder when or if he is ever going to wake up to the existential nausea of his own existence, instead of merely reacting to the banality of post-modernism. And how about more details of his granddad's basement hobbies, eh?

Summary: Truly a Long Hard Road from Hell
Review: I was always a Manson fan, I was just always into that sort of thing...the darker side of human culture, perhaps it was merely a sub concious thought that drew me to his music because years later when I started to read deeper into the words in his music I realized what a certified genius this man was so I picked up the book and began reading it, was one of the last people around me to have read it, but It was one of the few books that I just cannot put down, hours of sleep deprivation went into this book. It gave me an understanding to the mans life that I never could have gotten through his wonderful yet cryptic music but thats alright because he is talented that way. Its true that I want to get into a musical career and its true that I am a bit dark and these things could contribute to why I loved the book so much but for the sake of it I think it was well written. Very well written, probably more so now that he has been through what he has by getting his music career going. I dont see how most people can read this book and still not understand what this man is trying to do in his life because he explains himself so openly and so innocently in his morbid own way. Marilyn Manson is truly one of the more creative and evolved human beings on this earth and everyone who hates him should understand that they are partially responsible for his presence here, and If they would read this book, maybe they wouldnt be so stupid; too bad that influence doesnt change people, people change themselves. This is a wonderful book, I cannot wait for his next book "Holy Wood" coming out sometime in February 2001, I recommend this book to basically, well, anyone; which is why I gave my copy to a friend this last Christmas. Meaning Ill have to purchase another copy, lol. This book has been Sincerely recommended by; The Viral InfectioN.

Summary: Awesome
Review: I am a fan of Manson's music, but it was with much trepidation that I read this book. Two things concerned me: One, would this be some stupid, purposefully shocking book with little or no real value and poor writing, or, two, that I would read things about Manson's life and see things about him that would detract from my enjoyment of his music. Luckily, neither one of these things happened to be true. The book is very well written and reveals things that actually increased my enjoyment of Manson's music. This book is at times very deep and moving, and at times simply informative about Manson's life and early career. I enjoyed it immensely and have read it several times, sometimes underlining fascinating passages. Definately worth reading for Manson fans and maybe even for people who have never heard the music. Certainly of higher grade than any of those typical unauthorized biographies and publicity books.

Summary: Non-Marilyn Manson Fan Loves Book!
Review: I thought this book was extremely interesting. I am not even a Marilyn Manson fan, and had never heard any of his music before I read this book. I have since bought two of his albums and think the music is great. This book tells the truth directly from the horses mouth (Marilyn Manson) about the group coming into stardom and the rumors that followed.
