Summary: Touching and Inspirational
Review: I really enjoyed reading "Rachel's Tears." It was written by both of Rachel Scott's parents and has spiritual meaning while still showing that she was "just" a girl. It doesn't come across as preachy or fake at all; it shows actual pages from Rachel's diaries and her deep spirituality and love come across in a very real way. Rachel's thoughts and feelings were quite profound, but she expressed them in a very raw and honest manner. I believe that the photo on the cover speaks for itself: while Rachel's inner light is clearly visable, she's wearing jeans and a t-shirt- she's "just" an average teen who had some very "unaverage" thoughts. The raw emotion expressed by her parents, siblings, and friends is painful to read and yet shows how special Rachel was and continues to be. Rachel was one together young lady and her words are definately worth reading and internalizing.

Summary: Excellent!, but 2 concerns.
Review: I am a believer in the Lord Jesus, and forgiven through the blood of Him. This book is moving and brings the many facets of this tender teen christian girl from CO. I echo most of the christian feelings expressed in previous reviews expect for one. According to typical biblical definition, this was not a matyr's death. Bible says everyday is a matyr day for Christians if they will be willing to die to flesh and invest their lives in heaven's bank. Where your heart is , there you are. And one of the golden principle of Christianity 'It is good to be willing to die for God, but it is far greater a task to reckon to live for Christ, everyday'.

I am a samll concern and would like to express it to her Father(I hope he reads this). I wondered why the cover should carry a pose of Rachael in a tight-fitting immodest clothing. I do not want to feel like I am a bad sport here, but that is reality. Modesty is taught of God to christians. It covers clothing, but much more practical aspects of life too. But i thought it portrayed the liberalness that the church has allowed itself and getting into , when it comes to wear simple modest clothing, especially for sisters in the Lord (read bible 1 Timothy 2:9). I love Rachael in the Lord, and I don't want any sinful man to look at her by lust even by the glance. (Matt 5:28) Then it will mainly the fault of her father who let that photo come to the front.

Overall, buy in bundles, and give it to all Christian teens. It is a blessing.

Summary: Rachel's Tears - My Tears
Review: I heard Darrell Scott speak at a youth conference a month ago. It was a life-changing experience for me, and so I read this book to go along with that. I was so impressed by the extra-ordinary mind and heart of this young woman. Having just lost a friend to a senseless tragedy as well, I was comforted by what was written in this book. By the honesty of her family, and also by her honesty. My prayer is that many will be blessed by the legacy of writings & drawings that Rachel left behind ... that it will cause us to sit up and take notice.

Summary: Reading for the 2nd time!
Review: It blesses my heart so much to see how many people have been touched spiritually by Rachel's testimony. I am reading this book now for the second time cause it has helped me so much in my walk with Christ. I am saddened however to see those few reviews claiming there's no way Rachel died for her faith. I don't quite understand how anyone who wasn't even there can say that. Just like with Cassie, whether or not she was asked the question or not, her life testiony cannot be argued with. And for one reviewer to go so far as to claim that the journal writings may not even be Rachel's is absurd! So what if she kept these so called premonitions to herself. Well really she didn't. She made several comments to her sister and some friends that very said she knew that she wouldn't live very much longer. Her journals were just much more insightful to what she was thinking in her heart. She knew God's hand was on her though so she chose not to be afraid. I just have to wonder how ANYONE can accuse parents like those of Rachel and Cassie of simply trying to profit off their daughters' deaths! These parents have gone through emotional hell and back! It is only by God's grace that they were able to share their daughter's testimonies. It is what God called them to do to make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you for reading and God bless.

Summary: Touching Lives
Review: Rachel's Tears was a great blessing to me. I read and cried and read and rejoiced. The story of Rachel's life and death reinforced the priorities that should be first in our life. I have referenced this book with my teen class and they have been touched by it. Good reading for teens or adults.

Summary: A Spiritual Guidance
Review: I loved this book. It is a must read. I really enjoyed reading it. It was a heart-breaking story about a girl that died at Columbine in 1999 because she believed in God. This book was written by her sad and pain-filled parents. It had to be really hard writing a book on their child that was dead. Her parents tell a little about that day when they went to work and was thinking it was going to be a good day and then they found out what they dreaded, that the school had been a building ripped to pieces with blood, heartache, and inequality and that they were never going to see their daughter alive again. I know that it is every parent's nightmare to lose one of their kids. I sympathize with these people. This book really made my eyes water as I read it. It really made my faith in God increase to a higher level and it encouraged me to do what she did, speak the truth about the Lord. I really enjoyed reading about this strong-hearted and strong believer of God. I only wish that that tragic mishap wouldn't have happened. May Rachel Scott rest in peace and with our Heavenly Father. Everyone needs to read this awesome book.

Summary: My Tears for Rachel
Review: Rachel's Tears was an excellent book that appealed to many emotions at once. A book like that is hard to find. There was happiness, times that made me cry, when i was confused or I was amazed by her strength and faith. Rachel's Tears has changed some of my views on life. She is one that any true Christian should follow. Through the hard times at Columbine, even before the shootings, her light was always seen throughout the halls in Littleton, CO. This book was very successful in trying to allow people to understand that you don't have to be like everyone else and allow yourself to follow others. Rachel was unique in everything she did and that's why she had so many loved ones. This book does appeal to only some minds that don't mind reading very faithful stories of others but even if you don't like reading, this will be the book that changes your life after its read. Rachel's Tears definately has a long-standing value especially considering the Columbine murders have effected so many people and people will be curious throughout the time. All in all this was an excellent book that you can't put down.

Summary: Wonderful Book!
Review: I couldn't put this book down! It is a heartfelt and loving tribute to Rachel. I got so involved with reading this book, I cried, sometimes to the point that I had to put the book down. It is inspiring and a terrific read. I would recommend this book to anyone, young or old. It is such a shame that such a bright, caring, loving and vibrant teenager was taken by such violence. This book made me believe that there is some good in the youth of this world...I wish I could have known her.

Summary: THE WORLD'S TEARS
Review: The world was crying on and after April 20, 1999 after Rachel, her classmates and teachers were shot by two students at Columbine High.

The world was crying when the memorial service for the casualties was held later that week and a white dove (the symbol of the Holy Spirit) was released into flight for each casualty.

The world was crying when a Columbine student sang a song he had written for the casualties called, "Columbine: Friend of Mine." He did a wonderful job.

The world was crying over the anguish of the families of the two boys who had wreaked such devastation.

The world was crying for those who knew and loved each person who perished on April 20, 1999.

The world was crying when personal accounts of the families was made public. Rachel Scott's family bravely agreed to be interviewed on "Dateline." The anguish of this family is too great for words. They opened their hearts and souls to the public about their devastating loss. They also opened Rachel's diaries.

Rachel was a deeply Christian girl who wrote poetry of an extraordinarily high caliber. Her poems about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and how They shaped her faith are masterpieces. This little girl, like Ann Frank before her, unwittingly sheds light on the horrors of the world. Like Ann Frank, Rachel sees things in a hopeful light. In turning to Jesus, she reasons, many social ills will abate. In reading Rachel's work, one can, only after her tragic death, imagine Rachel feeling optimistic and bright in a time when she probably was exposed to the doubts of many. Rachel writes of her very strong beliefs and in sharing her work, one can share some of those feelings.

The world was crying for Rachel. "Rachel's Tears" are really the world's tears.

God bless Rachel.
