Summary: Absolutely Fantastic!!
Review: I am a seventh grade English/Reading teacher in SC. I am about to allow my students to read this novel. I've read it before, and I loved it. I cried, laughed, became angry, was scared, excited, thrilled throughout the entire book. Ms. Beals puts the reader in Little Rock. There is no way for anyone not to feel what she felt. If you have any ideas of anything thatI can do with my students to make it even more interesting, email me at ricecan@hotmail.com.

Hats off to Ms. Beals for a book well-written!!

Summary: Terrific!
Review: I have not read all of it. But my teacher started reading the first few chapters and I would already gve it five stars! My teacher stoped reading it because it was to heavy for some kids! I can't wait to finish reading it on my own!

Summary: This is a fabulous book.
Review: This book may appeal to certain kind of people, but I usually dislike nonfiction and I LOVED this book. It was really wonderful. The manner in which she writes it is both exciting and sad. This account of the integration of Central High was definitely a book worth reading!

Summary: It's an amazing book!
Review: When I read this book I really realized happened in Little Rock in the year 1957. I loved the book and I thought that it was wonderfully written and I enjoyed every page. It was one of those books that I could not put down until I was done with it. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys history and drama in the same book.

Summary: must read for anyone interested in human spirit to be free
Review: A searing documentary of the personal sacrifice made by 9 teenagers who wanted the right to be free to learn and take their place beside their white peers.

The personal sacrifice made by the Little Rock Nine should not be forgotten nor the "politicos" on both side of the fence, who sought to make or break the civil rights movement on the backs of these teens rather than to have the courage to stand out in front of these courageous youth.

Summary: The Best!!!
Review: This was a really great, very touching story about interrogation in schools in 1957. You really should read it!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Boring
Review: This story was quite boring and and the author lacked the ability to make the reader want to keep reading. I definitely do not recommend this book.

Summary: Extremely compelling, one of the best books I've ever read
Review: I am a seventh grade student in Pennsylvania. Many adults that will read this will think: "He's to young to understand a book like this," Well, this book is one of the best that I've ever read. I don't read a lot, and when I bought it at a book fair for school I had doubts. After about 30 Pages I was engulfed by story behind this writer's experience. It was deppressing and cruel, how the students at Central High School treated these innocent individuals. There is a glimmer of hope in every chapter Ms. Beals wrote, and I wpould highly reccommend this bgook to everybody who believes in civil rights and freedom.

Summary: Eye opening
Review: I picked this book up when it first came out, because the title looked interesting, and the subject was one I knew little about. I love learning history from a personal perspective, and so "Warriors Don't Cry" has become one of my favorite books focusing on the African-American intergration into the mainstream school culture after the Brown vs. Board of Education ruling.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It was sad yet inspirational
Review: This book really dug down deep into my soul making me feel sorry that my people could treat others in such a horrid way. It proved that everyone should have equal rights or has a right to them. The Little Rock Nine put up with torture to do what they believed in and what they wanted. They put their lives at risk for the happiness of others and for the future. Melba Pattillo Beals wrote the book extremely well and made you feel as though you were experiencing the traumas with them. If you haven't read the book got out and read it!! It's fabulous!!
