Summary: I was expecting more, but he's a great medium
Review: I just bought After Life and a book by a healer/psychic I hadn't heard of until I got her new book, Psychic Gifts, and after reading both, I loved Psychic Gifts and thought After Life was just okay. I am giving After Life 5 stars cause he's a great medium but if you want to read a book you cannot put down, get the book by Tiffany Snow. After the Light is a wonderful book, but so many people just focus on their own lessons they learned, which makes for an interesting story, but I am always looking for more - how does this apply to me? I'm not saying After the Light is a bad book, really, but I guess I was just expecting more.

Summary: Beyond grief
Review: I just finished reading this book today and it is impossible to express all the ways it has helped me to begin to progress in the grieving process.

By reading John's books he becomes more than just an author, he becomes your friend with just the right reference, even it pertains to someone else, it pertains to a lot of others myself included, especially myself. THANK YOU JOHN EDWARD!!!!!!

Summary: John Edward is the most amazing person
Review: I just got the new John Edward's book "Afer Life" on saturday and just couldn't put it down.He is just an amazing person not only does he help people, but he is funny too.I record Crossing over with John Edward everyday when I am a work and watch it when I get home.I have two other John Edward books:Crossing Over with John Edward Behind the Stories, and John Edward One Last Time. They are all great books and would recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them.I would love a reading by John Edward, because I am not scared of the otherside nor of John himself.I also have two cds from John Edward and he has help me mentitate (I have done since I was in highschool)and see my nana and a close friend of my family. If John reads this I would like to thank him for all that he has done, and one day would love a reading from him.I almost got my chance when he was on WPLJ in new york, but I lost my nerve.Oh well maybe my guides(or like john would call them "the boys" but since i am girl i would call them my "girls didn't want me to do it a that time)I would like to conclude this review by congradualating John and Sandra on the birth of their little boy Justin.

Summary: Nope...not enough meat or potatoes
Review: I like John Edward, and watch his TV show, which is fascinating. I liked his second book - crossing over. But this book just goes on and on with the same, and no new information. I just read a book by Tiffany Snow that gives exercises on how to see ghosts, stories about helping with unfinished business, and also stuff on the "bump in the night" kinds of ghosts. I liked hers better. John never talks about the other kinds of invisible forces there are out there - and I needed to know that too. Not all ghosts are dead people trying to say they love us. Maybe its the folks NOT on TV that are the cutting edge, I don't know. But, what I do know is that I'm going to a book store next time and thumbing through his next book before I buy it. If it's more of hte same, I'm writing him off.

Summary: Sorry, this book doesn't do it
Review: I like Tiffany Snow's books better. I like Sylvia Browne's books better. I like James van Praagh's books better. Sorry John. I liked Crossing Over better.

Summary: I love this book.
Review: I love this book. It's worth the money. I am keeping it and his other books in a special place to share with my children when they're older. I wish that everyone in the world would read his books and watch "Crossing Over." John Edward has brought me the gift of Peace, and I will always be grateful to him for that.

Summary: He's human, too!
Review: I loved this book! It was great to read that John, just like his clients, looks for "validation" from the Other Side, too...as a son who misses his mother and gets emotional about it and not just as a psychic. This was his warmest and his most intimate book so far and it was cool to hear him open up about his life and to see how all the readings with his friends happen. I felt like I was with him on his trip to Australia and Houston. I just thought this book was so positive and energetic. When I finished it, I just felt so good and felt like the people I miss who have "crossed over" are really with me. You made me smile through my tears! Thanks John!

Summary: Same Old Same Old
Review: I totally agree with the spotlight reviewers review above. I have read ALL of Mr. Edward's books. When they first came out they were exciting. But this one is a REPEAT of all the others. I guess since they canceled his series he needed to make a buck fast.

Summary: Ye of so little faith...
Review: I totally enjoyed the book, but gave it 4 stars just because some might find it "more of the same" (I've read all his books). I enjoy any bits of info I can get from John about his gift and the fact that he's human, too. As for the cynics, I say "how sad!" I can see how somebody who has watched his show "a couple of times" might think that he just doing "cold readings", but you need to look a little closer or watch longer. How can you write off a phone reading as a "cold reading"? I first saw John on a local morning show, promoting his first book (before he had his own tv show), and watched it only so I could make fun of the "phony psychic"--boy, he blew me away! He was so specific and detailed that the hosts and audience were truly freaked out. I made a note to myself to remember his name and buy his book. Well, I didn't get around to it, but heard about his tv show and tuned in to see that it was, indeed, that amazing guy I saw earlier. I've been watching & reading ever since. And I still consider myself a skeptic, but John Edward has proved to me that he's the real deal--and what a great person to be given such a gift. I think he handles it well and is not some kind of con artist making money off idiots! For those who don't believe, I say, "how sad to have lost a connection to your own soul!"
