Rating: Summary: Tupac/God's Words Review: If god could have made a book of poetry he would have had all these poems in the book. This book has some of the best work from Tupacs early days. It shows where Pac came from and where the late great Tupac wants to be. It shows the real Tupac, not the Gangsta Tupac but the inner Tupac. If you have any love for Tupac you gotta buy this book.
Rating: Summary: The man IS a genius. Review: I beleive that Tupac is one of the smartest men with his music he was one of the first to rap or sing about something different than what other rappers/singers were. With his poetry he is awesomeI never read at all and i even sat down to read what he had to write it was awesome and moving to think that Tupac could have a nice set mind outside and also in his thug life.

Rating: Summary: What wasn't he good at? Review: Before reading this book, I wasn't a fan of Tupac at all. I had, of course, heard his music on the radio and seen him on MTV and knew of his murder, but that was about all. I saw the book advertised one day and said to myself, "2Pac wrote poetry?" I went out and bought it the first chance I got.I read the whole book in one day. And reread it at least a dozen times. I couldn't put it down. He was a great poet! I've now seen the movies that he was in and own most of the CD's that he made. This book made me a fan. You don't have to like rap, or even Tupac, to enjoy the book. Even poetry, perhaps.
Rating: Summary: Even better poet than a Rapper Review: I probably have a bias opinion when it comes to Pac. But he truly is someone to remember. And every time I read something he wrote, I get something from it. If you are a poetry lover you will love it too. He has inspired me to fulfill my dream as well.
Rating: Summary: Using it in a high school English class Review: Heard about this book in a review, then I purchased it out of curiousity. I have had great results with students who would never think "poetry" was for them. I have changed my opinion of this rapper by reading what he was like as a young man. I have shared it with other high school teachers, and they too are impressed with the quality of his poems.
Rating: Summary: The Thug of Peace Review: Tupac's book of poetry is by far the best book I have ever read and I have read many a books in my life. Tupac's poetry will move even the most cold hearted human being. Any one who's down and out and is looking for inspiration and hope for the future should read Tupac's poems. They are a collection of poems about his life but they are also poems that have a message in them and often that message is that tomorrow will be a brighter day. I never even knew Tupac wrote poetry untill everyone started talking about this book and when I finished reading it I cried cause I finally understood why he is so loved by so many millions of people. I went to SOuth AFrica summer of 2000 and people there were feeling Tupac too. There were posters of him in stores and messages of his name and legacy spray painted on walls everywhere. Tupac wasn't just an American hero and leader, he was the light that shone across the globe. Reading Tupac's book of poetry is like reading his soul and feeling his prescence with you. I would recommend this book to anyone. And for all you people out there who are over analyzing his poems and saying they aren't up to poetic standards or whatever, you need to open your mind and realize that poetry is poetry no matter what form it's in. The only thing is that people interpret it differently. I always have been and 4-ever will be one of tupac's # 1 fan.
