Summary: Not too bad
Review: Almost 3 stars. Worth its purchase price.
It shows the original poem (as it was written by him) on one page, then the typed one on the next. There were a few words that needed translation.
I enjoyed many of his poems, they were pretty good. I didn't care for the use of numbers as letters though. No doubt this book will be enjoyed by many in years to come.

Summary: A Promising Poet
Review: Tupac's ability to work with words so well at such a young age was his trademark and is what made him a prominent celebrity in the hip-hop world. This publication is fascinating, mostly because of the copies of his handwritten words and interesting use of ideologies.
However, as a poet, Tupac really was just a 19 year-old boy writing about his feelings and thoughts. Despite the recent tidal wave of interest in the collegiate community, his poetry is nothing to get excited about.
I would recommend this to anyone interested in observing the process it takes to capture words the way Tupac was able to do so well later in life. Don't let this work compromise the talent of one of the greatest lyricists of our day.

Summary: [R][I][P] Tupac
Review: This book of poems written by Tupac, is by far one of the best poetry books. It shows Tupac's sensitive side and that even he suffered in life. It also showed a side of his life that no one really knew and understood. I recommend this book to anyone that likes reading poetry about life.

Summary: Don't waste your time.
Review: Being a pop icon does not make you a great poet. First off Tupac needs to learn how to spell and he also needs to learn that cute little pictures are not words. Do not waste your time.

Review: The Rose That Grew From Concrete
By: Tu-Pac Shakur

I like this book 2-Pac's Anthology. I liked it because I like to read and write poems. This book is filled with poems. Tu-Pac wrote his poems about love, slavery, hatred, and racism. He wrote his poems for his mom and girlfriends during the times he was going through a struggle. When I read the poems he wrote he inspires me to stop whatever I'm doing and start writing a poem. Every time I start to read his books I always have a pen and paper and I start to write down ideas. I would recommend this book to people who like reading and writing poems about love and hate. I rate this book a 10 out of 10. That's why I liked Tu- Pac's anthology.

Summary: Trite
Review: I have a lot of respect and admiration for the late Tupac Shakur, and he's actually one of my favorite rap artists, though, admittedly, I am not the biggest fan of rap. Unfortunately, this book of poems does not serve him any justice. He did write these during his teens so he may not have found his voice or his calling quite yet, so that's understandable, but the poems themselves are basically cliches written in the syntax and spelling of most rap artists. This book is mainly for die hard fans of 2Pac or completists who are doing research or whatever. Other than that, get one of his albums.

Summary: say you were a defense attorney...............
Review: OK, say you had a "thug" for a client, you're defending him in court. This book of poems is what you want the jury to see. It will soften up their attitudes towards the ACTIONS of this man.

Frankly, this poetry is not very profound. You know those contests where anyone can be published, well, take the tupac name away, and well these fit in with the rest of the mediocre poetry just fine.

This is a curiosity of sorts, kinda of like reading a serial killer's "sensitive" diary entries. Wow! He had a sensitive side! Wow!

This boy was no literary genius. The emperor really is naked.

Sorry. Only a very limited mentality would consider this adolescent drivel "genius".

Nucka, please.

Summary: Great and touching
Review: The poetry is passionent and shows the true self of a great star. If you like poetry and tupac, Get this book now. The most enjoyable about this book, is that the original poem has been printed in his handwriting and a computer writen version.

Summary: From The Heart
Review: This book is amazing. It is a collection of poems written by Tupac on the topics of his life, love and his opinions on others views. I was able to relate to many of his poems which are incredibly heartfelt and real. You don't have to be a fan of Tupac to appreciate this book. Anyone who might sometimes not know how to express themselves should definitely get this book. This man is a lyrical genius! I sometimes have trouble putting my feelings into words but reading this book helped my to figure out exactly how I feel.
