Summary: Words From A Genius
Review: This book is an outstanding piece of art. There are so many emotions displayed throughout this book, and I feel everyone of them. Anybody who loved Mr. Shakur, needs to be a part of this audience and read this book.

Summary: I love it
Review: I think that this book expressed tupac. It shows that he is not all about being a thug. His poems have feeling to them. Tupac, if you are still alive, (which I believe you are), let us true fans know. We miss ya.

Summary: ONLY ONE WORD CAN DECRIBE TUPAC "AMAZING"
Review: I AM SURE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS THE TROUBLES AND THE BAD PRESS THAT TUPAC HAD WHEN HE WAS HERE. THIS BOOK CAST LIGHT ON WHO TUPAC REALLY WAS, A MAN. IN READING THIS BOOK YOU SEE THAT HE CRIES, LAUGHS, FEELS HAPPY, SAD, AND MAD JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE THAT WALKS THIS EARTH (JUST READ 'SOMETIMES I CRY' OR UNDER THE SKIES ABOVE'), THE ONE DIFFERENCE IS THAT HE WAS BLESSED WITH A VERY VERY SPECIAL GIFT. BECAUSE HE WAS IN THE LIME LIGHT PEOLPE FELT THAT THEY HAD A RIGHT TO JUDGE HIM BUT HE LET TOLD THEM ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE HIM AND HE GIVES IT TO YOU RAW IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE WHAT HE HAD TO SAY HE'D TELL YOU F**K THE WORLD AND THATS WHY HE WILL ALWAYS BE ALIVE IN EVERYONES HEART. SO READ THIS BOOK BEFORE YOU LET ANOTHER BAD WORD LEAVE YOUR LIPS ABOUT TUPAC.

Summary: insight into a man many misunderstand
Review: this collection of poems was written by Tupac Shakur when he was only 19--before "thug life" and fame took him over. consequently, the poems feel real and seem a true insight into a young man's heart and mind. for fans of tupac, this will be an invaluable collection. for the curious, they'll see that the media giant tupac had roots in a perceptive, intelligent youth.

Summary: Truly Poetic
Review: This book gives great insight into the mind of a man called Tupac Shakur. I will treasure this book for years to come. A masterpiece, one of many from this great man. I do not write this to try to convince you to buy it. I want to try to convince to at least pick up the book and read the very last poem. I'm positive that you'll end up making this book part of your collection.

Summary: Breathtaking!
Review: This is the greatest book I have ever read! It shows you what kind of man 2pac Shakur really was and how he felt. It shows you what was really going on in 2pac's life and how he looked at the world and the people around him. He tells everyone how the world really is, he doesn't try to hide it like alot of poet's would. There will never be another poet as great as 2pac.

Summary: The Man That Grew From The Ghetto
Review: Tupac Amaru Shakur. He was a survivor. He wasn't a gangster ... Tupac was a soldier. A soldier in a war on the streets, and the streets claimed him to the end. When you read his words, when you listen to his songs, feel his power, his pain, his sorrow, his joy. The collection of poems in "The Rose That Grew From Concrete" is a moving dedication to the brilliance of Tupac. Each work of poetry is another step into the soul of Tupac that we never saw. We saw the gangster and enemy that the media portrayed him as. We never saw the lover, the father, the son, the person. Don't read Tupac's poems, READ TUPAC.

Summary: Thinking at its Best
Review: To the late Tupac Shakur, I read the poettry and concluded that this is belongs with the rest of hte English Literature. His passion for life amazed all of us, though he was seen as taking it for granted. They say that the least unexpected individual produces some of the greatest things on earth...it's TRUE!
