Summary: The struggle of life between a mother and her children.
Review: I thought that this book was an excellent book that had gripping moments with family, neighbors, and preachers of the church. This book had two sides to the story, and both were great. At first it was hard to understand the book becuase it kept talking about rachael growing up in a jewish and harsh life, but after that part, the rest of the story flowed well. I think that McBride could have ended the story differently though.

Summary: Great Book!!
Review: It is a really good book. It shows the world that there are a lot of discriminations, especially to minor communities, happen everywhere. I really suggest that everyone should read this book so he can see for himself, what it is like to be discriminated. My hope that one day the time of discrimination will end.
