Summary: GREAT BOOK!!!
Review: This book was great. When i went ot the book store and i saw it on the top shelf, i saw ti and i looked through it. When i read the first page, i just couldn't stop. i got so into it that i lost track of the time and i was in the book store for over an hour having coffe and reading. once i realised the time, i bought the book, hoped inot my car anf drove away. The second i got home, i had to finish the book. This book is excellent and anyone who has read it or is reading it would say the same. Also, everyone in my family has read this book and now my 15 year old daughter finally has realised that my husband and i are not so bad after all.

Summary: You will forever champion for children after reading it!
Review: I read this book in 2.5 non-stop hours! I cried, out of sadness for what Dave went through, and because I kept picturing my own 5 year-old son in his shoes while reading the graphic details of his mother's abuse towards him. Reading about the torture he endured saddened me deeply, yet it made me even more aware of this most horrendous problem our society many times ignores. I wanted to find Dave Pelzer, put my arms around him, and sing for hours a soothing song to comfort him. He does not seek pity, but tells of a smart young boy who just wants a loving Mommy and Daddy. Every adult should read this book. God Bless Dave Pelzer for his courage and strength.

Summary: Heart Wrenching
Review: I'm a 14 year old girl in 9th grade. I read this book in 7th grade and I feel so lucky to be in a loving, and caring household! I think every teen should read this, most of them will realize that they are so lucky to be in a loving environment. This book made me realize how many unfortunate kids are out there!! I couldn't even read some parts of this book, because they were so grafic! I would sorta recommend that a parent read this book with their child, so they could both get some insight about abuse!! This is my favorite book of all time!!

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read, although it is not for someone with a weak stomach. It is touching and real.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: It's a heartbreaking, terrifing stories of a helpless boy
Review: My heart was broken after reading just 10 pages of the book. This book didn't only tell how a helpless child suffer, but more importantly, there was life after that with a will to survive and make life better.

However, this book didn't explain why out of the sudden the Mother changed so much, why the Mother only singled out the author in the family? What happened to the Mother, the Father and the brothers?

Review: This book is so heartbreaking because this kind of thing goes on every single minute of every day. I am a child abuse case with a happy ending but not without deep deep scars. Purchase this book and you won't be able to lay it down.

Summary: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!
Review: I believe that this book is and was dramatically inspiring to I, the reader. I found after reading the first paragraph, that this book was mereley impossible to put down, let alone heart breaking. After this book was recomended to me by one of my fellow pupils, I encouraged the small group of three girls in my reading group to change the book from an Agatha Christy mystery novel to "A Child Called "It"" We all agreed that this book was a truly amazing, that in fact a human being could be that brutal and injust to one of their own offspring. On behalf of my fellow class mates and I, this is the best book either of us had ever read in our life. And we all recomend that everyone who reads this reads this book atleast twice, and then read the sequel, "The Lost Boy", and "A Man Named Dave".
