Rating: Summary: Awonderful story of a abusive mother Review: This is a exallent book If you want to read a auto-biogrophy.
Rating: Summary: Speechless Review: I heard aboutthis book through a family member, and I thought it wwas absolutely amazing. The treatment David was subjected to was horifying and disgusting, and at times extrememly difficult to read. But I couldn't put the book down. I started it on a Friday and finished on a Sunday. This book and its sequel, while tragic, were also uplifting, because David is such a strong person and it inspired me to be strong too.
Rating: Summary: This is a sad book I'm glad I have nice and caring parents. Review: I feel sorry for the kid in the book. See if I were him I would of went to the police sooner than he did. It made me sick to my stomach what his mom did to him I still remember her putting him on the stove and burning him, locking him in a room with chemicals and i also remeberhie mom breaking his arm and him telling his dad he fell off his bunkbed. I reckamend this book to other kids that are being abused by their parents.
Rating: Summary: a very enjoyable autobiography Review: I really enjoyed this book. I feel bad for David and many others like him because they are living this nightmare and there is no one for them to run to. I also feel bad for his mother because she obviously needs medical attention for her behavior. I am glad the social workers got him out of that house before it was too late.
Rating: Summary: The book A Child Called "It" was a good book. Review: I thought A Child Called "It was a good book. I thought that because it was a true story. It made you think, how could a mother do this to her child? It also thought it was good because it made you realize how good people have it.Somethings why I didn't like the book A Child Called "It was the way she treated her son. Dave thought that all the abuse was his fault, and he never really knew why Dave's mother actually did these mean things to him. I gave A Child Called "It" a ten because it's emotional and at the same time so good because you don't want to put it down.
Rating: Summary: This was a good book! Review: The book "A Child Called IT" was a good book. It was the best book that I have ever read. Even though I really don't like to read, this book was pretty hard to put down. I thought it was absolutley disgusting that a mother could physically hurt her own son. I think that the mother should be thrown in jail. The father should be thrown in jail also because he was such a coward to allow this to happen. I feel so bad for David that he had to live with that every seconed of his childhood life. I think it is great that he could survive his torture, and to write about his life story. Now he can sit there and laugh at his mom for becoming more succesful than she will ever be, no matter what she did to him.
Rating: Summary: This was an interesting book Review: I think the book "A child called It" is a truthful book about child abuse. It will help people understand about child abuse in the United States. The book shows that child abuse can easily get out of hand and kids can be scarred for life. I liked this book because it was a true story. I liked the way Dave Pelzer wrote his life down on paper. I recommended this book to people who don't like to read because they will not be able to put it down. It's that good!

Rating: Summary: It was a shocking book!! Review: 'A Child Called It' is a very shocking book, not just because of the cruel things she did to David, but also it is a true story. It was a very addicting book. No child deserves to go through, or live in the evironment he lived in. The book shows how much of a problem child abuse is today. This book could help other children tell somebody about their problems. David Pelzer is a great person for helping other people with a chid abuse problem. 'A Child Called It' was a great book, and I can't wait to read 'The Lost Boy'.
Rating: Summary: Two thumbs up for this book! Review: I thought the story "A Child Called'It'" was awesome. I couldn't put it down. I finished it in three days, and I hate reading! It told a sad story of years of abuse. The mother was so cruel to David, but he was strong and managed through. David Pelzer is an excellent author, and tells his story in detail. I feel bad for him, and I wish he could have gotten out of there sooner. "A Child Called 'It'" opened up my eyes to a new evil world and I feel lucky it wasn't me. This story will help people understand it is real and needs to stop. I highly recommend this book.
