Summary: A Child Called It

Summary: helpless
Review: I read the book in two hours and was horrified at what I read. I decided to read the book and the sequels because I feel too many people in this world turn a blind eye to the abuse of our children. As horrifying as this was to read, I feel it will help me be more aware of the children I come in contact with. If we have a suspicion that a child is being abused in any form we have an obligation to do something. If we all look out for the children we can make a difference. Dave Pelzer I am in all of you.

Summary: Abuse is Wrong
Review: This book was very sad. I cried during a lot of the parts and became quite emotional. it is a very helpful book for teenagers all around the world, who think they have life worse than anyone. When really, David had a bad life, worse than anyone I have ever met with problems. This is a great book, in fact, I had David Pelzer sign my book while he was in Bismarck, ND. I am now reading A Man Named Dave. Good Job!

Summary: I SALUTE YOU DAVE
Review: I am working in the library and there is one lady who wants to donate some books. On top of those books, a cover of a child with blue eyes. It seems that he is looking for love and care. I took the book and read the first page. God..is this true? I never stop reading the book when I reached home..David's survival from his mother's beastly attitude towards him is a victory..I thought it was only in the movie that happened like this..I was trying to conceptualize WHY his mother treating him like that? What's the reason? For being so naughty?...I wish that I met David here in Saudi Arabia during the "GULF WAR" because he was here.. Nevertheless.. read this book and you will never regret or even you gonna changed.

Summary: Wow...
Review: I work at the Benjamin Bookstore in the Denver International Airport, and I have noticed reecently that "A Child Called IT", "The Lost Boy", and "A Man Called Dave" have been on the NYT Bestsellers for quit a while. We have been out of stock of "A Child Called IT" for quite some time now, and we just got a shipment in yesterday. I picked up the book out of sheer curiosity, wondering why the book was so popular. I quickly found out, this book made me weep. I wept with pain, sorrow, anger and joy as I read this series, each book I have finished in a little under two hours each. This is a story of courage, bravery, determination and healing. My entire perspective on life has been changed because of this series, despite the fact that I have a wonderful family and life. Thanks Mr. Pelzer!

Chris

By the way, I am a 17 year old male attending the Denver School of the arts. Kinda suprising that it would affect me so, huh?

Summary: This is very harsh
Review: After reading this book I was sick. I was also an abused child and I want to say "I thought my abuse was bad!" It was nothing like David went through. I had guns pointed at me and hair ripped out of my head but never did I get the some of the treatment David did. I feel very bad for this man. I know it is hard to go on but I think writing helps.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: heart wrenching
Review: I read this book on a recommendation of a friend. I could not put it down. With every word written my heart broke. I think this book should be required reading for all those who are pursuing a career in education. It was amazing that the spirit oof Dave Pelzer survived. He is a miracle.

Summary: An opening of my eyes!
Review: This book was spooky, in a sad and horrifying kind of way, very sad, and yet all along a great book that made me see a different kind of light. Me and my cousin read it together, we are not 13 yet, and it made us cry and steadily pondering on the question 'what's going to happen, now?' The question wasn't answered until i got the next book, and still won't be fully answered until i get the next and last book. If u are ready to be horrified and at times touched in a different kind of light, then buy this book. It may not change your heart, but it sure changed mine.

Summary: A soldier called Dave
Review: I received this book from Amazon yesterday. Last night I read the entire book. What a brave little soldier he was and every adult who has some experience with abuse will relate to his story. I am looking forward to reading the two sequels which I also ordered.
