Summary: This book was fantastic!
Review: I thought that this book was great. I loved the way I had to guess who was a villian. The way the story was written was great, because it let me imagine the story in my head. However, the best part was the many clues and how everything all came together at the end.

Summary: A Ok Book
Review: I thought this book was a very nice book even though I was a little scared to read it at night. This book contains a lot of dark stuff which I don't really like because it usually makes me scared to go to sleep at night. I thought it should have contained less scary stuff because kids wouldn't really want to read it if it's too scary.

Summary: My Thoughts About "The Man Who Was Poe"
Review: I think that "The Man Who Was Poe" was a great book. It was very exciting, suspensful, and it intrigued me. "The Man Who Was Poe" is a great way to tell about Edgar Allen Poe and what an odd man he was. While I was reading, I never wanted to stop. I was drawn to the plot and the author's way of leaving you hanging. It makes you want to continue until you have finished the entire book.

Summary: Best ending ever
Review: A review by Marc

It's a cold, cloudy night in Providence, Maine and young Edmund is in search of he lost sis and aunty when he crashes in to a mysterious man. When the man picked himself up off the ground he reached back down to retrieve his letter he dropped. He then turned to a very apologetic Edmund and Edmund repeatedly said," I'm terribly sorry sir." The man looked right into Edmunds eyes and said, " Well you should be bumping into an old man like me." The man then asked Edmund why he is out at such late hours. Edmund then explains himself to the man and the man became curious. The man questioned about the disappearance of Edmunds sis when Edmund asked him to help in the search of her. The man contemplated foe a few seconds and agreed but, under one condition, he deliver the man's letter to the address.

Throughout the book Edmund and Mr. Dupin (the mysterious man in the beginning) encounter many mysteries including finding Edmund's auntie dead. The search for his sis turns into the search for a killer.

I really enjoyed this book but their were a few boring parts that I really think did not belong in the book. I also like how suspenseful the book was and ending which is one of the best I have ever read. As my conclusion I rated the book 4 out of 5 stars and I recommend this book to just about everyone especially if you like any other of books containing or by Edgar Allen Poe.

Summary: Jaybird's Review
Review: This book is great! The author creates a feeling of helplesness, convaed by the idea of an eight year old boy all alone in a dangerous town. He has lost everything and has one person to look to for help, Dupin. He is a strange mysterious man, as well as a drunk. A undetermined free spiret with no drive and motivation to accomplish anything. Can he be trusted, will he help find Edmonds sister, or will he forget his perpose and motive on his next binge? The book seems to billed suspence throughout the hole story as the situation is undetermined by the mistical Dupin as you hope for his freindship and promising help, for Edmond. This book keeps you reading and hoping that this youg, little, fellow is going to find his family unharmed?
