Thank you James Van Praagh for all the wonderful work you do. I recently read another book by a spirit medium called "Through the Eyes of Spirit" by Jenny Crawford and found this book to be very enlightening. I am grateful to gather as much information as possible about the life here-after. Thank you both for making such a positive difference in my life.

Review: I found this book healing and uplifting after having lost my Aunt (whom was like a 2nd mom to me) to lung cancer. I put to use the meditation techniques at the end of the book. Though emotionaly it was very hard, in the end I felt very at peace. The author is blunt and to the point. For non-believers of the "afterlife" per say, he will make you think twice. And for people like me who do believe he just gives further confirmation. I wish I could thank the author personally. Thank you, Aunt Donna and I have many chats now that I am learning how to feel her presence more often.

Review: I thought this book was so good. i read this book about two weeks after a friend of mine passed away at the young age of 15. this book really helped me cope with the fact that she is happy and still living in heaven with her lord. this book also helped me with my uncle's suicide and what happened to him. i also now know that he looks over me and i believe he is my gardian angel. a really freaky thing happened to me and my sister while reading the suicide section aloud. you see we work at a parking lot in a resort town and while we were about half way through the suicide section a herce came in to park which never happens!! so my sister and i were like uncle tom is saying hi! it was so weird what are the chances of that happening. it was also a full orange moon that night too!! so i definately recommend this book to everyone.

It seems as if it has pull me out of the gates of hell into a more beautiful and peaceful world. I seem to have a understanding of life and death that my mind and body can accept. I lived in fear of death and being buried like you might not belive. By reading the book I have been able to sleep more at peace. Helping people who has had love ones to pass on is so much easier now that I have the confidence to say, they are in a happy place now,. I have bought and gave three of these books away and I know I will buy more. To share this message of truth with people I come into contact with that is yearning for the truth, is so wonderfull and rewarding just to see peace on their face. Fonda R. Farrill Talala,OK. PEACE TO ALL.

Review: I have to share with all who read these comments...The idea of connecting spiritually to the "Other" world is so simple, but for others so difficult. I have the ability to connect to the "Other Side", yet I dont make myself public...in fact, I find myself praying and giving so much to my local community through my spirit guides. I have to share with all who do not believe in this idea of "Mediums"...it's simply not your time to understand this...It will come to you in God's good time....I don't condemn those who do not understand, but instead, I understand their non belief and knowing that at this point in the earth plane...they are not ready! I give you this important message from the "Lords Prayer", something that I live by and repeat to myself daily...."Forgive Us Our Trespasses As We Forgive Those Who Trespass Against Us"...Profound words, not always easy to live by, but indeed, so very very important. Just my thoughts...Hope it "Hits" home to many friends who I know are all part of the spirit world.., As well as the "Physical" world we all now live in...Peace, and love to all whoever you are!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Inspirational and inspired by love Review: Mr. Van Praagh's book is about what I have known all of my life: there is life after death. It teaches us that love cannot be broken by anything, even death, and that death is not an ending to live but a transition to another kind of life, a much more beautiful, satisfying and peaceful life in which we can continue to grow and learn. It also teaches that those with whom we were close to while living are continue to be connected to us when they "cross over." I am very grateful that James had the courage and the love to share these inspirational accounts of life after death so that everyone can understand that we are not alone; we will never walk alone; and that nobody is disconnected or broken from God. There is no death! God bless you, James! And Thank you!

Review: If you're looking for "confirmation" of what you already believe in anyway (i.e., that your dear departed are lining up to make a long-distance call via Van Praagh), this is your book. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Van Praagh provides no reason to believe. Yeah, I know the cliche: "To the believer no proof is necessary..."

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: A good read but in the end left me confused Review: I eagerly read both of Van Praagh's books when my brother died this past January, and at first I believed everything he wrote. After all, I wished with all my heart that my brother was indeed still alive but just happened to be somewhere else, not unlike living in another country. Van Praagh basically makes you believe that this is exactly where your loved one is (except that country is called heaven), only you can't talk to him anymore, much less see him. After a few months I realized that I could not properly grieve for my brother because the book basically tells you that it is unnecessary to grieve because the loved one is really still "alive." Grieving is a natural process that one must go through here on earth and one should not be denied this. Also, Van Praagh says that we all have prechosen a time to die and how it will happen. He briefly talks about medical cures and how this can change how one will die, but other than that, you're left with the feeling that being murdered or dying in agony of AIDs was meant to happen all along, so how is this supposed to make us, the grieving ones, feel better about a death? It doesn't. And it doesn't make sense. And it doesn't allow a person to grieve and/or get through the stages of grief. Van Praagh wants you to be happy as a dimwitted clam knowing that your loved one died by choice and he's still alive somewhere, baking apple pies. Whether my brother is alive in heaven or dead as a door nail is a moot point; he isn't here anymore and I've come to realize that I cannot be denied the way I feel about it anymore.
