Summary: I felt loved ones with me when I read this book.
Review: I loved this book! I felt much peace when I read it. I would hope that anyone that wounders about life after death, would read this book. I really felt that I was with loved ones when I was reading this book. The book Talking to Heaven helped me understand life after death and what is really expected of us here in human form. I would love to meet Mr. James Van Praagh in person to Thank him for letting his thoughts and understandings to be put in writing to share with all of us. Thank you, Mrs. Renee F. Cancalosi

Summary: This Book is a "Godsend."
Review: I am a massage therapist with a full business. After reading and recommendeing this book to several of my clients, I started noticing the difference in the bodies of my clients who read this book. The clients who actually shared their experience in losing someone and the emotional relief that they felt after reading this book allowed me to understand further the importance of the link between the mind and body. More clearly than ever I see that a poor emotional status of a individual can stunt spiritual evolution and render the body's immune system impotent. The fact that James Van Praagh has developed this gift and is sharing it is a blessing. Chronic physical pain caused by grief and lonliness is being decreased by the message in this book. On behalf of my clients, Thankyou!

Summary: His writing style is elementary, but I found it believable.
Review: I found his writing style elementary, therefore distracting, but I loved the stories he told, and I believed them. Anyone who questions what death holds for us should read this book. However, James should withhold his comments on unrelated topics, and dispense with the trite cliches.

Summary: Entertaining, Interesting and Puzzling in that order....
Review: I saw the author on the Larry King show and was impressed enough to want to buy this book. I always keep an open mind and so I found the stories entertaining to say the least. I also found his explanations of spirits and how they operate interesting. But alas, I am also puzzled that so many things aren't explained or their explanation defies common sense in that it can't be applicable to all people and he doesn't seem to qualify his explanations. Just gives them out as if they are true in all cases. I would though, like to know more info about the spirits of those who die a violent death.... now that was interesting and if true certainly explains a lot of things.

Summary: The book makes you feel connected again to a loved one.
Review: Parents' bonds to their children always remain, and we need to know how they are and where they are before we can go on with our lives. Now I am seeking a medium in the Philadelphia area who can put me in contact. Can anyone forward information to me? Thanks.

Summary: Amazing... a must read!

Summary: A must read for anyone in grief over the loss of a loved one
Review: Seen the author on The George & Alana Show (1995). He explains the etheric body and how cremation destroys the "shell" quickly and allows the soul to become aware of its' new situation, especially in suicide case studies. People of science see and think in rigid, black and white equations. Van Praagh does not.

Summary: A wonderful and inspiring book
Review: The book: "Talking to Heaven" by James Van Praagh is a very timely and inspirational message coming out at the end of our century.
The section of the book on Alzheimer's Disease struck me since a woman named Sydelle had a father named Jack who died from this disease.
My father whose name was Jack died from this disease too.
I have had many dreams of him and one in particular in which he told me that he hadn't reached the golden light yet and was in the shades of gray.
The book mentions dreams of loved ones as visits with them.
It further opened my eyes to the truth in many dreams we have.

Summary: Very uplifting!
Review: Many of us will never know what happens to us after we die until we actually experience death for ourselves. Where's the harm in believing that a spiritual world does exist and that our loved ones are watching over us everyday? Thank you James Van Praagh for sharing your experience with us. Your book is truly amazing!

Summary: Talking to Heaven by James Vanpraagh is a surprising book!
Review: I found the book, Talking to Heaven, by James Vanpraagh to be wonderfully surprising! I must say that as a believer in God, before I read the book I was skeptical about spirits or psychics. I guess you can say that I was an open-minded skeptic. Mr. Vanpraagh makes a convincing argument on the existence of our after-death presence in another"world", or realm, if you like! I found myself saying "why not". I guess some unusual things that occur could be explained by some loved one, trying to help us or send us a sign from after-death. Mr. Vanpraagh's explaination that everything in our known world has energy, is so scientific, that it is easy to believe. He continues that energy never goes away it just changes, as science similarly states. Thus, why wouldn't the human energy carry on after death. I feel that with his examples and explainations in the book, he makes a good case for validating his belief's and "powers". The book teaches the reader to find one's own spirituality and even their place of calmness. Whick I think would be good for everyone. It is a refreshing look at our tomorrow, so-to-speak. It is not antireligious and does not attempt to sway anyone's belief in God...just the opposite is true. I certainly hope that the ideas suggested in the book are true. I'd like to believe that there's more for us after this short life! Great book. I recommend it for anyone interested in "what's next" for us!
