President Clinton's need for and ease with personal contact with practically any person comes through loud and clear through these behind-the-scenes photos of Robert McNeely. Clinton's comfort with small children and world leaders comes through wordlessly in these photographs and they present a different view of Bill Clinton's political life and presidency heretofore not seen in the media. I believe this coffee table book of photographs would make interesting viewing and reading for anyone who, like me, is intrigued about a person who became President.

What a collection of photos! What a masterpiece!! What a documentary!! History will forever remember President Clinton. Never before in my entire life have I seen such a coverage of a US President's era such as this. Well, despite Clinton's moral mistakes, which concerns only to him and to his wife and daughter, America lives today its happiest time ever. World's the stock markets feel that as well. Here's what I think: Clinton is a true leader: he's funny, clever, articulate and carismatic. Who cares about his sex life? Did he steal public money for himself? Of course not. Will we ever miss him? Yes, we will, be sure of that. Brazil thanks President Clinton for America's prosperity. Good luck in the future, Mr. President.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: From the inside out... Review: The photographs in this book are quite beautiful, strong and revealing. With so much media exposure of all of our public figures, it is interesting to take a behind the scenes look at our leaders at their most relaxed as well as on the job. Clinton may have his share of flaws, but he has been a remarkable leader and his energy, enthusiasm and drive shine through in this pictorial.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Moving panoramic of the Clinton presidency. Review: The photographs in this book capture aspects of the Clinton presidency and the nature of the presidency itself in a way that words cannot. The pictures show the immense pressure the office places on the occupant including the isolation and anguish involved in everyday decision making. This book should give us pause as we choose a candidate for this office who is best equipped to handle the herculean demands of the job.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: An incomplete look at his 8 years Review: The pictures are wonderfully done - great shots of the president trying to do his job. However the book itself is incomplete - any book (picture book or novel) which omits references to his many scandals (his impeachment, Monica Lewinsky, lying under oath, the last-second pardons of criminals, WhiteWater, losing his license to practice law in Arkansas) misses the most significant parts of his presidency and paints only half the picture.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Beautiful photography Review: This book is a masterful piece of photograhpy as the author captures former President Clinton in formal and sometimes informal moments. The photographs humanize the President, his advisors and his wife, making one appreciate Clinton as not just a President, but an everyday person with high points and lows. I recommend this book to anyone who likes beautifully crafted photography and has a love of Presidential politics. A must have coffee table book
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Great photos of the presidency Review: This is a beautiful book documenting the life of a President. The photographer, Robert McNeely, did a great job in choosing photographs that depict the life of a president. It is apparent that McNeely choose shots that he thought would draw a reader into the book, versus standard press shots or pictures that have ran in thousands of magazines and newspapers. I was a disappointed that McNeely didn't elaborate more on the pictures and tell about the events that led to the picture being taken or what happened after the picture was taken. McNeely does give some insight into the Clinton presidency in the endnotes of his book. In all a great book and a different view of the presidency.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Human and Brilliant: The McNeely eyes on the Clinton years Review: This is an absolutely fabulous portrait of a genuinely caring President in office. The photographs, all black and white, convey not only the optimism inspired by the Clinton administration but also the splendid spirit of the times, even in the face of adversity, confrontation and seemingly unsurmountable challenges. As President of the USA he inspired a level of self-belief, confidence and humanity in the USA and elsewhere that has never been experienced before - and thanks to the art, insight and diligence of Robert McNeely, all this is accurately depicted in this splendid record of those wonderful years.
