Review: This stunning production by Lex de Azevedo is a contemporary, yet classic setting of the King James' Bible text surrounding the birth of Christ. It is a masterpiece, flawlessly executed by the Jerusalem Symphony, Millenium Choir and world class soloists George Dyer (his own solo albums are phenomenal in their own right), Catherine Stambaugh and many others. Highlights include "My Soul Doth Magnify the Lord" (sung by "Mary") which brings listeners to tears, and "Fear Not, Mary" sung by the "Angel Gabriel." "Gloria" is as timeless and masterful as Handel's "Messiah". (Azevedo's companion piece, "Hosanna" is equally engaging.)
